Pros: Robert De Niro Cons: Too many to list here - there is a word limit
15 Minutes came out in 2001. When I saw the previews, I thought it looked like a good movie. The plot, with the bad guys videotaping their crimes, seemed original and interesting. And Robert De Niro was in it, so how bad could it be? Well, ...

Pros: Some of the acting, bits of comedy, action scenes Cons: erratic, choppy, bloody, overdone message
Important note:
While this movie definitely has its comedic moments, it is an appetizer of comedy, with the entrée being a thriller. Epinions lists 15 Minutes as strictly a comedy, and this could be extremely misleading....

Pros: Great actors and a thrill ride for a story. Cons: A lot of violence
I am not a writer of movie reviews on a regular basis, but I have spent this weekend watching three different movies. I rented these three on Friday and have watched one a day and tried to write a review on each one. The last movie of my movie mania...

Pros: Story, Ensemble Cast, Direction Cons: Miscasting Edward Burns
15 Minutes (2001) 15 Minutes takes a serious look at the public's obsession with dirt and the media's eager willingness to dish it up, all the time absolving itself of any responsibility for possible fall out. After all, they're only doing it to serve ...

Pros: DeNiro, Burns, and the two new guys, cinematography Cons: some unexplained events
I reluctantly picked up this movie as a rental, dreading another cliche DeNiro performance, and wondering what it could possibly offer, that hadn't been seen before. What I found instead of another action movie, with a standard good guy bad guy scenario,...

Pros: Nice cast, some great twists Cons: Blair Witch-esque camerawork in some parts
15 Minutes was better the first time when it was called Natural Born Killers...even better before that when it was called Network. The movie is about how two killers play the media and become celebrities, all the while sticking to some hairbrained plan...

Pros: Fun 'buddy-cop' stuff, a handful of clever ideas, some good action. Cons: Overwrought and obvious messages club the viewer over the head.
You ever hear the term 'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing'? Well, here's the movie that proves it. I'd propose that 15 Minutes undergo a title change, partially because the Andy Warhol quote that the current title is borne from is never ONCE...

Pros: Exciting action, terror, heartbreak, fine acting, well-staged fire scenes. Cons: None
This is not a comedy. There are funny lines, but always interwoven with the ruthless, violent killing that goes on from beginning to end. It mirrors Oliver Reed's "Natural Born Killers" which also was one bloodfest from beginning to end, yet made light...

Pros: This Movie sticks to it's guns to gives us a compelling piece of cinema. Cons: Others will say "so what, it's been done before". I say never like this.
If Robert DeNiro is in a movie I am there, especially since I have NetFlix and movies are sent to me on automatic pilot. Edward Burns is also along for the ride and contributed to me getting this movie.
15 Minutes is all about the...

Pros: De Niro, Grammer, weird story. Cons: A little unrealistic.
I wrote this epinion on my lovable Word, and then before posting, I went to read a couple that were posted on Epinions. I was surprised to see that a lot of you did not like this movie.
I think it is important to see that this movie was meant...

Pros: Deniro, and two action sequences. Cons: 1957's Face in the Crowd, and 1976's Network gave us the message better.
15 minutes is a crass manipulative action movie with an obvious over-stated message that feels like the type of film Michael Winner (Death Wish) or Larry Cohen might have delivered to audiences circa 1979 if they had been given a big budget. ...

Pros: Robert DeNiro is great in any film that does not feature moose and squirrel. Cons: The characters become too phony and ruin the film's message.
David Berkowitz, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, the Menendez brothers, and Lorena Bobbitt, what do they all have in common? They were just like the rest of us, moving trough life in relative obscurity until the day they were made famous for murder of in one...

Pros: There's a really cool scene in a burning building, plus some serviceable acting. Cons: Obvious message trampled over by a crap script, some awful acting and intrusive direction.
I believe firmly that Robert DeNiro can do no harm. He’s my favorite actor working today and I have never seen him do bad work. That is, until I caught a 1989 atrocity called We’re No Angels on television. We’re No Angels had everything good going for...

Pros: Herzfeld's stern message is difficult to ignore; visually pleasing for a gritty crime thriller. Cons: Comes from over the top with no qualms; leaves itself no margin for error.
Based merely on its' nature and execution alone, 15 Minutes would have been nothing more than a laughable, self-indulgent attempt to satirize the vulture-like nature of today's news media... had I not agreed with the message being imparted. That...

Pros: Some exciting location shots, gallows humor, and several good performances. Cons: Director Herzfeld scatters his focus and never makes us care about the leads.
"It is what it is," was the answer star Robert De Niro gave to a question about what his role and his new film were about. That terse answer is the problem with both his performance and John Herzfeld's crime-action societal satire, 15 MINUTES. On the...
