Pros: some good acting by Jean-Claude; fighting scenes; Michael Rooker Cons: not too original of a script; slow and contrived sometimes
I’m sure this will shock or at least greatly amuse many of you, but I really do enjoy Jean-Claude Van Damme’s movies. I haven’t seen them all and a couple had less than spectacular plots (Double Team with Dennis Rodman comes first to mind), but...

Pros: Jean-Claude Van Damme could act? Who would've known? Decent action, fair character development. Cons: Sci-fi aspects are weak; awkward and inconsistent pacing.
Martial arts superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme fights himself in a spectacular action spectacle! What an intriguing concept! Well...not quite. Jean-Claude Van Damme in a dual role should be no surprise to film buffs. He has already played...

Pros: Splits! Camera! Action! Cons: Incoherent
Replicant is the best movie to feature Jean Claude Van Damme in a dual role as identical twins--that there's actually a choice in the matter is preposterous. It transcends both Double Impact and Maximum Risk (from the same director...

Pros: good plot, a mix of comedy, major a$$ kickin moves Cons: Van Damme Could do a better job as 'the replicant'
First of all, this movie is about a retired cop (Jake Riley played by Michael Hooker) who goes after a serial killer (Garotte played by Jean-Claude Van Damme) who preys on single mothers. In capturing this serial killer, the NSF (National Security Force)...

Pros: Best 'performance' by Van Damme. Very good in the sci-fi/thriller genre. Cons: A bit shaky at first, with a few weak spots here and there.
There is no one single thing that makes this movie good - it does not excel in any one area, but the sum of it's parts make it a very good movie - a currently overlooked gem. I've seen most of Van Damme's films - acting was never a big point and I've...

Pros: a serious film for Van Damme standard Cons: not really great
It's been a long time ago that there's a Van Damme film, which isn't really that bad.Terrible films like "Knock off" and "Desert heat" completely turned Van Dammes 'succesfull' action-star status in to a nightmare. What could save him? A good movie...

Pros: van damme, rooker, great fighting, good script, Cons: sometimes confusing
I was skeptical when i rented this movie because i saw one of his other new ones call derailed and it sucked. i can honestly say this is one of the best jean claude van damme movies i have ever seen. Michael Rooker is also great in it the fighting is awesome.
