Pros: Chilling, grimly humorous picture of a civilized society which adopts casual violence to settle grievances.
Cons: The use of amateurs in some roles may strike some as an uneven match.

Pros: Grisly portrayal of life in Columbia, this film is a learning experience
Cons: The cinematography is low budget (but this actually adds to the charm of the film)
I rented this film thinking it would be a good "edge of your seat" thriller about spooks, agents and human targets. After the opening scene I realized I was in for something much different. This movie compares to the plethora of gritty reality movies...

Pros: Film format, story, frank situations
Cons: sub titles, if that bothers you
The one aspect that I love about many foreign films is their frankness and provocative nature. The social situation is much worse in some of these countries but they still tell it like it is. Ironically, it is a complete 180 here in the U.S.
