Pros: A slick movie with a wiff of exotic. Cons: To much emphasis on one person.
But it did not win. It is a movie from India and I am an Indian, I would have favoured Mira Niar's 'Monsoon Wedding' as our country's entry. But that is not to say that Lagaan is not a good movie, it is but it is not my personal favourite.
