Pros: John Turturro and John McEnroe bring humor to this movie Cons: Adam Sandler does not
The last time I tried to watch a film starring Adam Sandler, I changed the channel on the dreadful “Big Daddy.” Fortunately, his latest, “Mr. Deeds,” does have a few laughs. Most of them, however, do not come courtesy of its star. In this, the remake of...

Pros: You smile a lot. Cons: You may be looking for something else.
If there is one thing that Mr. Deeds is trying to tell us (and it says it several times), its that simple doesnt necessarily mean stupid. I think its speaking as much about itself as it is about its main character....

Pros: Adam Sandler is his usual adorable, funny self. Cons: I wish someone else besides Winona was cast.
Preamble
I'm convinced that there are people in this world who just don't get Adam Sandler. When he was "the dude" on Saturday Night Live, there were actually people who didn't appreciate the Red Hooded Sweatshirt song....

Pros: Love Story / Comedy. Adam Sandler & Winona Ryder have great chemistry Cons: only an hour and a half
Many complain that Adam Sandler gives the same performance every time. This may be partially true, but he continues to get better playing the sweet guy with a bit of a temper in Mr. Deeds.
Sandler plays Longfellow Deeds, a Pizzeria...

Pros: Winona Ryder is pretty. Cons: Complete lack of effective humor.
I used to be a big defender of Adam Sandler movies. I contend that there’s an intermittently inspired lunacy to Billy Madison, a frat-boy charm to Happy Gilmore, a lot of good-natured sweetness in The Wedding Singer, and a few good...

Pros: Sandler beats the crap out of people, Winona looks great Cons: The only good laughs are Sandler beating the crap out of people
Adam Sandler and Steven Brill, star and director of Little Nicky, have re-teamed to bring us a remake of the 1936 Gary Cooper and Frank Capra comedy Mr. Deeds Goes to Town. Less than thrilled with the concept? You should be.

Pros: Adam Sandler, Some Pretty Funny Scenes, Surprising Ending Cons: A Bit Predictable Sometimes
Ok so call me skeptic, but I really had a hard time believing that the film Mr. Deeds would be good, or even decent, it seemed like the concepts for the film have been overused, and it even seemed like this film would be like any other of the...

Pros: Storyline held together nicely, another great Adam Sandler comedy. Cons: Not as funny as most Sandler movies, unrealistic story which would never happen.
If you haven't seen or heard of Adam Sandler then you've been hiding under a rock for the past 10 years. Sandler has been on many episodes of Saturday Night Live, doing is usual comical song routines during the Weekend Update skit. ...

Pros: Stars the brilliantly entertaining Adam Sandler Cons: Not as funny as other Adam Sandler films
This film was made in 2002 and was a remake of an American romantic comedy called Mr Deeds Goes To Town from 1936. But in true Hollywood style is blown totally out of origional proportions. Meet Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler) he is a smalltown guy ...

Pros: It's not entirely awful. Cons: It's not funny.
Any Adam Sandler fan will more than likely react to Mr. Deeds with the same amount of enthusiasm as the excitable recruited audience members at my screening. After all, this movie finds Sandler falling back on old tricks that worked for his public...

Pros: This is one of the more well-rounded characters Sandler has ever played. Cons: Not the straight-ahead, stupid Sandler some might expect.
Mr. Deeds is one of the few Adam Sandler movies that works on more than one level. In it we get to laugh at his occasionally dumb behavior AND we get to care about his character, we want him to get the girl. Long ago, I had enjoyed...

Pros: Some scenes were almost funny, only lasted 1 hour and a half Cons: Some horrible acting, not funny at all, stupid and cheesy
I'm a big fan of Adam Sandler. I ended up with Mr. Deeds and I decided to watch it. It was the worst Adam Sandler movie ever, considering he won't ,make any worse in the future. It was a pathetic excuse for a movie and I didn't laugh out loud ...

Pros: Good Laughs. Cons: Predicatable.
