Where the thin blue line lies

Pros: Excellent performances, good plotline on a relevant issue
Cons: Not much in the way of female characters

Great Little Thriller

Pros: Exciting. Real. Well acted. Well directed. Well written.
Cons: I wish it had been longer.
Not often does a movie come around that is both suspenseful and makes you think. Well, Thin Blue Lie is one such movie. Based on a true story of a Pulitzer-prize winning newspaper reporter, it is a thriller with an important social message. Although it takes place in Philadelphia back in 1976 (the year of our nation's Bicentennial) it is hardly dated, and the issue it deals with -- violent police behavior -- is still with us. In fact, the movie even makes that point. If you like a good thinking man's suspense film, this is for you.
