Pros: Great animation, extremely funny, good characters, two wonderful episodes, no bad episodes Cons: Fewer episodes than the later seasons, bonus material not very imaginative
Creating by Matt Groening, the same warped genius who brought us The Simpsons, Futurama is an animated sci-fi comedy series which is overall far better than its better-known cousin. The reason for this is that while The Simpsons ...
Pros: Very entertaining show. Likable characters in fun episodes Cons: Not many extras on the DVD set. Not many episodes.
Matt Groening became known for creating the very popular animated series The Simpsons. He eventually created another animated show, Futurama, that debuted in 1999. It became another in a long list of shows cancelled before their time in ...
Futurama will always be one of my favorite shows ever, I like it about as much as the Simpson’s and I find certain qualities of Futurama that are superior to the Simpson’s as well as many other shows. Futurama’s first season is surprisingly very well ...
Pros: The characters, comedy, animation and execution are fresh and funny. Cons: The audio commentaries seem a tad lackluster, as do a couple of episodes
Let me just say first of all that the fact they cancelled this show really sucks. Its time slot was unfair, and the fact that Fox TV axed it is really, really sad. This is truly the case when you look at all the wonderful episodes of the show that pop...
Pros: All 13 episodes from the excellent 1st season, nice extras Cons: None
Looking at a lot of on-line reviews of the Futurama Season One box set, it has come to my attention that many people do not know much about this show. And it isnt all that shocking to tell you the truth. From Matt Groening, the creator of The...
Pros: groundbreaking art, unusual characters, funny satire Cons: very little depth, DVD needs a little work
Futurama is kind of my guilty pleasure. I tend to dislike things this perverted, yet Futurama has consistently remained one of my favorite TV shows. Now that all 4 seasons have been released on DVD I've decided to write a 4 part review. Each will be a ...
Pros: The show in itself is hilarious.
The special features are very good. Cons: The episodes get repetitive.
Not for the straight-up Simpsons crowd.
I came upon the Futurama box set purely by coincidence. I had some money to kick out, and so I took a chance. It paid off well.
Futurama is the story of a pizza boy from the 20th century, a drunkard robot and a tough as nails, one-eyed femme...
Pros: Amazing animation. EXTREMELY Funny! Cons: Not too many cons. Maybe a few more extras.
I remember when I caught my first glimpse of Futurama. I was expecting a lot from this series considering it came from the creators of my favorite animated comedy, The Simpsons. I was dissappointed at the time (I wasn't able to catch the jokes + no...
Pros: A hilarious show that gives you side-splitting laughter. Cons: If you like comedy and cartoons, there are no cons for this show.
This is a funny show for 13 years and above. It's about Fry who was a delivery boy that got sent 1000 years into the future after falling into a cryogenic freezer. When he awakes, he meets Lyla, Professor (his nephew),Amy and Bender. Lyla is a sweet and intelligent cyclops, Professor is an old wrinkled man who thinks he's brilliant, Amy is the cute and kind Asian girl who can kick some serious butt when needed, and Bender is the drunk robot who soon becomes Fry's best friend. I loved this show because of it's comic humor and it's lively characters. All I recommend is that you have a toilet close by you when you watch it.
Pros: One of the best comedys ever, a few minetes of cut footage. Cons: DVD does not have a lot of new content
Futurama was one of the best shows ever created, to have it canceled you could here the crying of fanboys. I am still a fanboy though and this is a great way to see them for the first time or to preserve them forever. DVD does not have a whole lot of new content though,
