Latifah is a QUEEN!

by braddeck13 , Mar 17 '03
Pros: Latifah & Levy REALLY Bring Down The House
Cons: This movie is way too predictable!
Who would have thought that Queen Latifah would have such an awesome year???? With her Oscar nod for her role as "Mama" in the most nominated movie of the year, Chicago, to her film "Bringing Down The House" being number one at the box office for...

Bringing Down Steve Martin

by whyrob , Jun 26 '06
Pros: Eugene Levey, Queen Latifa
Cons: Steve Martin and a rediculous premise
Since Three Amigos, Steve Martin's presense in a movie normally guaranteed that it would be funny and interesting. My guess was that he carefully reviews the script or has enough personal input to save the movie. In this case, the movie can not be saved....

Steve Martin + Queen Latifah = HILARIOUS!

by morgansmom1981 , Apr 13 '03
Pros: Too funny!
Cons: none
This was the funniest movie I had seen in a long time! There was not a boring part in the movie. It had comedy, adventure, and suspense. If you think Queen Latifah was good in "Chicago", you have to see her in "Bringing Down the House"! The movie is...

Did Bringing Down the House bring down the house?

by xenonw2 , Apr 11 '03
Pros: Funny and Queen Latifah makes the show
Cons: Weak plot and confusing ending
This movie is one of a kind. It brings you into the world of African American slang and humor. Although it is rated PG-13,I would not recommend it for children because of the sexual connotations and fowl language. It was a hilarious movie, but Queen...

Not Really Bringing Down The House

by shann0ngirl , Mar 17 '03
Pros: Hilarious in areas.
Cons: Too serious in other areas.
This was a cute movie featuring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah. I went to see the movie last weekend thinking that it was going to be hilariously funny, but I was a little let down. It seems that all of the funny scenes are featured in the movie trailer....

Bringing Down The House

by mikesreviews , Apr 17 '03
Pros: This must be Steve Martin’s best film in over a decade.
Cons: Too many things can be told just by seeing the commercial.
Story: Peter Sanderson (Steve Martin, “Novocain”) a divorced, uptight lawyer meets a smart and beautiful girl named Charlene (Oscar nominated Queen Latifah, “Chicago”) on the Internet. She seems perfect until Peter finally meets her. She...

Bringing Down The House Outrageously Funny!
by kanadiandude ,Dec 07 '03
Pros: Absolutely hillarious.
Cons: wouldn't suggest this for younger viewers. fairly racial. Also contains scenes with sexual inuendo.
If you thought Queen Latifa's performance in Chicago was good, then you must check out Bringing Down The House Starring the hillarious Steve Martin, along with Eugene Levy (American Pie) You will not stop laughing!

I thought this movie was really funny as it touches down on inter-racial behavior. If you enjoy Latifa's music, her song "Betta Then Da Rest" is on the DVD!
