Pros: *Good Workout *Variety of movements *Good instructions Cons: *Mentioning peoples ages...very small con though
Leslie Sansone has certainly developed a wonderful walking system that would fit into almost anyone's lifestyle. There are many videos with differing levels of ability shown, many different mile goals and different boosters (or workout accessories) ...
Pros: Low Impact, easy movements, no equipment needed Cons: needs a better cool down
I have purchased two other Leslie Sansone tapes, and I have found the Super Challenge to be the best. The workout is 60 minutes in length, including a warm up and a brief cool down. I did find that there was not enough time at the end to cool down and ...
Pros: You will burn lots of calories! Easy to do, leader and group is motivating Cons: You need room to do the workout well
This is the first dvd I've bought from Leslie Sansone. I paid $14.99 for it at Fred Meyer. It is one of my favorite workouts now. It is 60 minutes long and you walk a fast 4 miles. It is very challenging even for me and I've been working out most of ...
Effective & fun workout! by jerseyangel ,Jan 11 '04
Pros: easy to follow, effective workout Cons: Leslie's laugh is a bit annoying, that's all
I have been wanting to try one of Leslie Sansone's workouts but never knew which one to buy. When I heard about this one, I decided to go for it. I can't believe I waited so long!! The workout is easy to follow, and anyone can do it but conforming it to their own work out level. So far I have only been able to go 2 miles but can't wait to make it the entire 4. Leslie has an upbeat personality, encouraging you along, and lets you know when you reach each mile point. This is an effective easy to follow workout and well worth the money for this little DVD! I should also note, I had reconstructive knee surgery, so it's difficult for me to find workouts I can do, this one I can! The other bonus is that you do not need alot of room, nor do you need alot of "props" like weights, bands, balls, mats, etc All you need is a small space, a DVD, a pair of walking shoes & you!
Super Challenge, Super Results by burgandyvelvet ,Jan 30 '06
Pros: fast paced, challenging Cons: no strength training
I have begun to consider myself somewhat of a "Walk Away" veteran. I started out with a one and two mile combo DVD, swapped up to 3 mile express, then 3 mile for abs, and now, a crown jewel, the 4 mile challenge.
The name suits it well. It's not an impossible four mile, but nor is it for a beginning exerciser either. I find it takes more concentration to stay with the group, which makes it much better than those that I can just zone out and keep moving. I have to focus on my efforts. Well worth it, I say.
The miles rise and fall at a good pace, and Leslie has added some moves to make things even more interesting. There's a double side step with a tap, a double side step with a kick back, a double kickback, and my personal favorite, the grapevine.
Overall, I highly recommend this to someone who is looking to really boost their endurance, but if you're just starting in your workout regime, start with one of her lower mileage tapes and work into this one.
