Pros: Vin Diesel, Almost good, some good action Cons: falls flat on most promises, some empty characters, weak ending
Two DEA’s agents have been working together for years, putting a stop to drugs coming into the country, and have found themselves in many dangerous situations in the past. They are battle-tested, having dealt with the streets of Los Angeles before ...
Pros: plenty of action Cons: the action gets tiresome, weak script, little character development
Filmed before the better (although not by much) movie, "XXX," A Man Apart" is Vin Diesel's latest showcase of muscle and attitude in his never-ending quest to find a more intelligent screenplay so audiences will respect him more as an actor rather than...
Pros: Diesel, Tate. Lots of action and powerful acting. Cons: none really...
Every once in while, you see a trailer for a movie that you can't wait to see. After I saw the trailer for this one, I had to see it. It sounded dramatic and suspenseful, and they played the Puddle Of Mudd song "Blurry" in the back ground, I'm always a...
Pros: Larenz Tate's commanding performance, the movies riveting first 40 minutes. Cons: standard buddy cop b.s. the next 75 minutes.
Just slightly over the mid-way point of A Man Apart a bad guy gets shot in the leg. In the very next scene he's standing as if nothing happened. Make all the Ed Wood jokes you want (I already did), but strangely enough when Vin Diesel gets...
Pros: Lots of action, a man with nothing to lose will do anything for revenge Cons: The ending not so great
I have never been a "Vin Diesel " fan but "A Man Apart," i do like. this movie is packed with non-stop action starting from the beginning of the movie. So grab you popcorn and drinks and sit back and relax as this movie takes you on a wild ride. The ...
Pros: Diesels best performance easily, great action sequences, very entertaining Cons: Mediocre Acting, Some minor glitches
I have to say that i enjoyed this movie a lot. I went to this movie hoping that Vin would perform better in this movie than his most recent one XXX, which was a disgrace to James Bond. I will say that i was happy to see that Diesel fit the role of Sean...
Pros: Action-packed, great story line, full of suprises! Cons: A little long, but well worth it.
The movie is based on a man, Sean Vetter (played by Vin Diesel), who loses his wife because of some things he got himself into. He plays a Narcotics Officer, who busts a big time druglord in Mexico, and that's when it all begins. You follow him through...
Pros: A good shoot-out, Vin can get really angry. Cons: Dull, unoriginal, little action. I miss Charles Bronson.
Vin Diesel really could be the next big thing like Hollywood keeps trying to force you to believe. But he's not going to do it with amazingly sub-par efforts like this. This is the type of movie they used to make better in the 80's when an action movie actually contained a good amount of action. Which is the only way this film could have worked, since the story doesn't have one ounce of anything that we haven't seen time and time again. Charles Bronson made this movie over and over, and while most of them were average at best, at least they delivered on him blowing away anyone who crossed him. With the exception of one decent shoot-out, this tired tale of a man seeking vengeance on his wife's killer is terribly dull and uninspired from beginning to end. Vin has the action chops, but as of yet, he hasn't been in a project that he can really use them.
