A touching story for pet-loving families. by nicolina05601 ,Nov 07 '03
Pros: Very heartwarming and touching and hilarious all at the same time. Cons: Makes you want to go home and talk to your dog.
I took my four year old brother to see this movie with the expectation that i would fall asleep in 20 minutes, like most children's movies, but i became quite suprised. Not only was this movie cute-plotted, filled with humourous bits, it was also a touching and heart-wrenching story about a boy who find s out that dogs are actually aliens from another planet who were sent to take over the world. The problem is that the leader of the planet, realizing dogs are pets and not rulers wants to take them all back to the planet, destroying the entire dog populations. This movie is similar to Dr. Doolittle with a humourous touch. The boy is willing to make a fool out of himself in order to keep the dogs. The main lesson in this movie is that even a boy who has no friends, and a dog that doesn't need any, can start a caring and loving relationship. Highly recommended for children between 3 and 12 and their families.
