Angelina Jolie is not one of my favorite actors but she really brings a heartfelt performance in Beyond Borders. Her character is believable and she meshes well with the other cast members. The movie portrays a woman of leisure and wealth who is beckoned by a strangers cry for help in Ethiopia. She bring food and supplies to the camp and her life is forever changed by what she sees and by who she meets. It is a passionate love story, but not too mushy. The plot is very believable, and the music score is wonderful. I loved this movie and have since seen it several times. The cinematography is wonderful and the locations are true to form. Clive Owens brings forth a great performance as well, and I think the movies dramatic end could not have been as gut wrenching without him. It is definitely not a movie for the faint of heart. I cried about the first 3 times I saw it, and I'm not a very mushy person. Overall I would definitely recommend Beyond Borders to anyone.
