I have a confession to make. I actually liked this movie. Now, it could be because I'm a little bias since I've enjoyed every movie Mandy Moore has been in. She's a great actress, with so much more potential than a cookie cutter romance movie such as this one. Regardless, the movie was entertaining and I think its suitable for a younger audience, 14-17 years of age(or those that are "fans" of one of the stars). I would recommend this movie to my friends (in fact, I already have. Boyfriend didn't like it; best friend loved it). If you are stuck inside on a rainy Sunday afternoon with nothing to do, this would be the perfect movie to pop into the DVD player.

I was roped into seeing this movie as one of my friend's has a pretty big interest in Mandy Moore and so off it was to see her latest offering in Chasing Liberty. I can assure you that 90 minutes after we walked out, what I really wanted was both my money and my time back.

It's not so much that the movie was that bad (it wasn't), it was just that you knew what was going to happen before it did happen. And that just took away all of the fun of it for you.

The synopsis in 100 words or less? Daughter of American President doesn't ever get her freedom because her father is concerned for her safety. She decides to run off with a cute boy who turns out to be a CIA agent working for the President. They romp all over Europe only to have the daughter find out who the fella really is. Heartbroken, she goes home. Happy ending ensues.

A cutesy love story, if you're out on the town with a date, it might be interesting. Otherwise, wait to make it a Blockbuster night.

Pros: Matthew Goode is unbelievably good looking and his performance wasn't bad either. Mandy Moore.

I loved this movie. It was romantic, funny, entertaining and a feel good movie. Matthew Goode is incredibly hot. I like Mandy Moore both as a singer and as an actress. And seeing Europe and their adventures through it, were entertaining and fun.

The movie was not original. Mandy Moore is not fitting for the president's daughter, nor was it her best performance. And of course the likelyhood of some of the events in the film are slim to none. However, I don't think that matters in this movie because that wasn't what this movie was about. It was about falling in love, a girl and her freedom and really just pure entertainment. It is not an Oscar winner, but it wasn't intended to be.

It is a good movie for pre-teens. It's cute. It is not something that is stimulating at all and is very predictable.
