Pros: The Storyline, Alfred Molina as Doc Ock. Cons: Daniel Gillies not given much acting to do as John Jamieson.
Spider-man 2 is a great sequel. The basic storyline is Peter Parker is trying to juggle 2 jobs (taking photos for the Daily Bugle and delivering pizza), his relationship with Mary-Jane Watson and of course being Spider-man. Peter gets fired from the ...
Pros: Excellent pacing, some good performances Cons: Good vs. Evil?
Going in to "Spider-Man 2," I honestly didn't expect much, because while I enjoyed the first one, I didn't think that it was especially great. I was, however, completely surprised. "Spider-Man 2" was an excellent movie. First, the performances were ...
Pros: JK Simmons, visuals, Kirstin Dunst (especially during the scenes of her on stage), Tobey McGuire Cons: Alfred Molina, length of Stan Lee's cameo, movie lags frequently
Set two years after "Spider-Man's" origin and battle with the late "Norman Osbourne/Green Goblin," (Willem Dafoe, who returns in a cameo) the story of "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" continues in a fair sequel featuring the villian called "Doctor ...
Pros: It shows how ordinary and extraordinary people adjust to life's typical transitions Cons: None
I think I liked this a lot better than the first. It's not just a superhero movie. It's about life. The first one was good, too, but this one showed us Peter Parker's personal struggles more than just Spiderman's. I witnessed the difficult choice Peter ...
Pros: Acting, art direction, direction, screenplay, special effects... almost everything! Cons: Closing graphics/credits (and who cares?)
The script, the acting, the special effects and directing make up for one of the best (and possibly the best) summer action film I've ever seen. Spider-Man 2 is full of character complexities and complex situations that bring a lot of tension to the ...
Pros: Simple story brilliantly told; lively, funny, heartwarming Cons: Pace lags a bit, not perfectly internally consistent
Fable. Fantasy. Fairy tale. Spiderman 2 is one fantastic movie with a moral. The comic book art sequence at the beginning arrests your attention -- somehow capturing the essence of its subjects in in spare but colorful imagery. This is the how the entire ...
I was really impressed by the first Spiderman and I knew it was going to be a sequel but sequels let you down most of the time. Well. it was different this time. It was more action, deeper story, emotion and just thrilling all the way through. The ...
Pros: Great story, action, special effects, characters, etc.! Cons: None!
Modern Spiderman 1 was great but the sequel really builds wonderfully on the first. The drama of heroism is explored further in Spiderman's life. Saving lives has cost him his education, his jobs, his family, his friends, and his true love. ...
Pros:Tobey Maguire, James Franco, Alfred Molina Cons:Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane isn't how I perceived her in the comic books
Spiderman is back again and this time he has to fight someone a whole lot more menacing than the Green Goblin. This time around Peter Parker (played by Tobey Maguire) has to juggle so much stuff that it is wearing him out. He can't concentrate ...
Pros: Better story, character development, CGI Cons: Spiderman's identity no longer a mystery, not enough Dr. Oc.
After watching Spiderman 2, I really wasn't sure to think. They must have ten sequels ready, because that's how many movies it will take to finish all the story lines in the Spiderman franchise. The story with Peter choosing to stop being Spiderman was ...
Pros: Tobey, Kirsten, Awsome Speacial effects, Sam Ramni has great directing. Cons: Waiting for Spiderman 3
Who would have thought that spiderman 2 could out do the first. It was amazing in its script, speacial effects, directing, action, and of course acting. Toby is the perfect role for spiderman as well as Kirsten for Mary Jane. The rest of the cast is well ...
Pros: Great special effects Cons: Boring story. Dumb ending.
I was very interested in watching Spiderman 2 after recently seeing the first (yes, I'm a little behind the rest of the crowd). However, I just don't understand what the hype was about. Peter Parker (Tobey McGuire) returns in Spiderman 2, taking on ...
Pros: Directing, acting, writing, and some great action sequences Cons: I can't really think of any
Spider-Man 2 opens just the way 2002's Spider-Man did with a collage of images from Stan Lee's original comic. This simple choice is a perfect way to show how true the Spider-Man films are to their source. The original had a great comic book feel ...
For Seasoned Citizens Too! by angelsdtp ,Jul 16 '04
Pros: Good old fashioned fun, excitement, adventure, comic-book fantasy come to life--Enjoy! Cons: Not much here--as long as you can last through 2 hours.
There are not very many movies produced today that fall into the category of enjoyment for the entire family--including we senior, or seasoned citizens. Yet, here is one that two of us (grandparents of 24+) sat for over 2 hours enjoying the production, the excitement, and the moral of the story as well! This is one we need not hesitate to bring or recommend to any of our grandkids, or even our senior friends. We remember the good ol' days of comic books, and eventually when some of them were brought to "life" via films... well this is one that is true to the character, the story and the overall excitement--fantasy or whatever you want to call it. It is refreshing that so many reviewers agree. It is TRUE that family oriented movies make the most money--so perhaps the imbeciles in hollywonk will get the message from those who recognize what people really want to see and spend their money on.
Pros: Action, acting, humor, suspense, fight scenes, special effects all first rate Cons: It'll be 2 years until Spiderman 3 appears on the screen
Spiderman 2 is one of those sequels that lives up to not only it's billing, but it was equally as good as the first movie, which is rare these days. Excellent action, humor, acting, and action!!! For the girls, there is some interesting romance between Spidey (Tobey McGuire) and Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) At the end of the movie there is a cliff-hanger which alludes to what Spiderman 3 will be based on...and you won't want to miss that!! Go Spidey!!! Yeah!!
