My God, I wish I could get a refund for the two hours of my life that this film made miserable. It's the dumbest movie ever made. Castaway is dumb, but this takes dumb to a whole new level. Queen whats her name is a cab driver who drives a special cab that when you flip a switch it turns into a race car. Jimmie Fallon is a cop who can't drive. Together they chase four lesbians who are bank robbers. I think it was SUPPOSED to be a comedy, but I watched the film without even a chuckle or a smile. There was not a single moment of believability or logic. Truly, I think that a monkey trying randomly might well come up with a better film. How this train wreck got made simply puzzles me. Why would anyone write this drivel, why would a producer take it under wing and find the money for it, why would any actor want a role in this piece of dung? And to the folks who rated this highly, could I ask what you were smoking on that particular evening?

Pros: Fun for all. Never a slow point.

Jimmy Falon and the Queen are a great pair to have been picked to be in a movie together. They play off eachother throughout the whole film, and really made the movie. There was scene after scene of jokes and comedy, so if you like funny flicks this one is for you. The action keeps you excited to see what happens next. The whole cast is just great to see on screen together. Queen Latifa is the cabby from you know where. She is really a very funny actress, and will show some of her comical side in Taxi.

Cons: Jimmy Fallon, irritating screenwriting re: cop character, not believable or conceivable

You have to love Queen Latifah to enjoy or tolerate this movie. I do, so it had some real fun parts. Unfortunately, Jimmy Fallon is terrible. Top it off with an absurd plot and you get a very mediocre movie.

The story revolves around a chase scene with several high-heeled, beautiful bank robbers and a very fast car in downtown NYC. As a brand new taxi driver (Queen Latifah) in a souped up car, our heroine helps a pathetic cop (Jimmy Fallon) try to catch the bad gals.

From the beginning of the movie you hate the cop, who has no capability whatsoever. It is inconceivable anyone actually could be this stupid. That theme continues throughout the movie and gets on your nerves.

Best part of the movie are the car chases which are very fun. But you have to sit through the dialogue and plot in between.
