Wonderfalls was an awful television show from Fox that was cancelled after only four episodes were broadcast in early 2004. A total of 13 episodes had been shot before the cancellation, so naturally the network decided to package them into a ...
Pros: Excellent writing plus Great acting equals one great series
Cons: There can be only one season.
A couple of years ago I worked for the Cable Company and received every Non-Porn channel available to Cable Television subscribers. (A very sweet perk you take for granted after youve had it for 2 months.) One of my favorite discoveries was a show ...
The DVD-release era officially began with the resurrection of "Family Guy" on Fox and became rooted when "Serenity" was created after the television series "Firefly" was axed. I suppose that means Fox deserves some credit for killing shows, getting ...

I know why Fox cancelled the show by numberwizard ,Jun 28 '05
Pros: Great writing and great acting Cons: I can't believe they didn't air the last nine episodes
After watching all 13 episodes, I now know why Fox cancelled the show.
Wonderfalls is superbly written and acted. It's one of the very few TV shows and movies where I can't guess what's going to happen next. "Lick the light switch." ROTFL. The 9 unaired episodes are even better than the 4 that aired.
So why did Fox cancel it? The humor is very edgy, sometimes politically incorrect (the episode on the Native Americans was wet-your-pants funny). That might have been OK, but it was also pretty liberal in depicting some of the inanities of life. Things like interracial relationships, infidelity, and all the "offensive" words don't play well in conservative mid-America. Besides, Caroline Dhevernas (the star of the show) is both Canadian and left-handed, sure marks of the Devil.
Remember, the show ran during the 2004 Presidential campaign and Fox is well known for its very conservative slant. They were probably looking for a "Joan of Arcadia" clone and were dumbfounded by the secular approach of Wonderfalls. What would the religious right think?
