Spanglish

Pros: Good laughs through out the movie.
Cons: I didn't like the ending, I thought it was unrealistic.

I really enjoyed this film. It is a great family film, not to say that it is a movie that the whole family would enjoy, but a really good movie about family. I feel like it was a fairly accurate portrayal of a real Bel Air type family.

Pros: The cast was superb.
Cons: The length, the script.

This movie had the potential to be wonderful. The actors are all terrific. Tea Leoni's character is truly a one dimensional cartoon character.

The movie was very long (or maybe it just seemed that way). There were some wonderful scenes but they were too far apartment.

I could not recommend this movie.

I want to like Spanglish, no I take that back,I want to LOVE Spanglish. This movie just doesn't let me. The Story is excellent at creating common issues found in a family. It also accurately depicts the "typical" (not to stereotype) Mexican American culture's values and issues they are forced to deal with. This film lacks in resolving these issues and tying up loose ends. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars but I will round that # to 4, just because it made me shed a few tears.
