Pros: Some funniness; A chance to reminisce Cons: The story; Very cliched.
Bill Cosby has been involved in showbiz for a long time, and the show that helped him achieve fame in his younger years was the animated cartoon Fat Albert and the Cosby kids. Now, roughly three decades after the cartoons debut, Hollywood and Bill ...

Pros: Fun. Good memories. Interesting to see toon people in real folk suits. Cons: Not as appealing to the younger set.
Hey. Hey. Hey. Fat Albert is back and on the big screen. The story goes like this . . . High school kid, Doris (Kyla Pratt) is down in the dumps. Her track speed is off. She is not part of the cool crowd and was not invited to the big party. Her ...

Pros: nice animated work Cons: mostly live-action, with derivative, familiar plot points and visuals
Fat Albert is a live-action feature version of the Saturday-morning cartoon. Released on Christmas Day, 2004 - it was positioned to be a major hit in the Scooby Doo category of "seventies-nostalgia-cartoon." Instead, it opened at number three. The ...

Pros: Some funny spots with Mush Mouth. Cons: Some funny spots with Lauri that weren't supposed to be and a bad execution overall.
When movies like Fat Albert have a hard time being made, you know there are issues. This movie was supposed to be made a little over 2 years ago. Forrest Whitaker was initially supposed to be the director, but he left the project because of ...

Pros: Funny, warm, good music, optimistic, and very CLEAN Cons: Has its tacky and cliched moments
Today I took 4 kids to see "Fat Albert the Movie" - two boys ages 5 and 6, and two girls ages 7 and 9. Between the poor reviews I have seen and the quality of other recent old cartoons-turned-new movies, I wasn't expecting much at all. Before I get ...

Pros: Kenan Thompson, Bill Cosby; has some amusing parts Cons: Story is a little weak; some hide jokes; Cosby's role is less than significant
I guess there's two essential reasons why seeing 'Fat Albert' became an idea of interest to me: One, I saw the previews and couldn't help but descry the appearance of Kenan Thompson, whose performances I admired in the "Kenan and Kel" show back when it ...

Pros: Good film for kids. Cons: Thin plot, drags.
In the time honored Hollywood tradition of remaking the past, comedian Bill Cosby has at long last seen his standup and cartoon character Fat Albert arrive on the big screen. In the live action version of the classic series which ran in the 70s ...

Pros: Family friendly and appropriate movie that revived long forgotten values. Cons: can't think of any
In a world full of movies where cute little cartoon characters curse, and wicked stepsisters have 5 O'clock shadow, this is one of the few movies that kids can watch without the parent holding the proverbial bleep button. Kids reaction: Although my ...

Pros: At least its short. Cons: Terrible Plot, Terrible Characters, Embarrasses the great Bill Cosby.
Let me get this over with: Fat Albert is officially the worst movie I have ever seen. Keeping in the tradition of terrible movie versions of classic TV shows, Fat Albert doesn't disappoint. This movie has the most unrealistic characters ever created. ...

Heartfelt
by danielle1234 ,Jan 01 '05
Pros: It made me cry and I really felt what the characters were feeling. Cons: The plot was not totally understood.
I enjoyed watching the movie Fat Albert. I went to see it because I love comedies, and I've watched Kenan when he was on Nickelodeon. At times I laughed and sometimes it made me teary. The only thing I did not like was that the villains were not that bright and were predictable.

"Fat Albert Saves the Day! Save the Day!"
by s_shonta ,Jan 18 '05
Pros: Casting, dancing and oh the overall character performance. Cons: Can't really think of any...
This is definitely a film to watch with the entire family -even Grandma/Grandpa. My son is three years old and has not stopped singing "Nah, nah, nah - gonna have a good time!" We watched the movie twice: once with a bunch of other kids and the other time with my entire family. It was roars of laughter both times. I mean, what child doesn't want to see a fat guy dancing the way Keenen was? And of course my grandparents were amazed and constantly asking, "Are ya'll sure he's got on a costume?!" Basically, this film appeals to all age groups.
I thought the casting was awesome! Dumb Donald and Mush Mouth were my favorites and Keenen did a great job as Fat Albert. I won't mad at him at all. I am sure Bill Cosby is pleased at seeing his creation come to life the way it did and hopefully he agrees that there could not have been a better cast set.
I love the fact that both audiences left the theatre singing! Fat Albert proves that all family films aren't animated afterall. Nah, nah, nah, had a pretty good tiiiiime!

Big guy...big heart!!!
by ryan_mtc ,Jan 11 '05
Pros: Very good family movie. Cons: Has the capability to be a tear jerker.
Fat albert seems to only appeal to children. Until you watch it that is actually what you would seem. It's a very good movie that really can make you feel good after it's all over. I would have to say infact that "Fat Albert" should be watched with your family. If you have kids take them. Fat albert formally known for the cartoon runs in to the real world. Albert finds a little girl and wants to help her but she wont admit that something is wrong. Time is passing and Albert really needs to return to his T.v. but things are holding him back. He hasnt helped thie little girl yet, and the little girls older sister is very nice and albert wants to stay with her. He soon finds out how short of time he is and is moving quickly to fix the problems. Can he do it? Can Fat Albert and the gang save the day...hey hey hey...go find out for yourself.
