"Little Einsteins"....Smarter than I Expected!

by JediKermit JediKermit is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Movies, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Sep 30 '06
Pros: Use of classical music and artwork, explanation of science and geography; sense of fun...
Cons: None.
I was skeptical about Disney's "Little Einsteins" series at first. My first interaction with the characters and the series was via a collector's card on a cereal box. A card which featured the character Leo "In front of Old Faithful at Yosemite ...

Great animation, great idea

by connell10 , Sep 19 '05
Pros: Inventive animation, incorporates paintings and music and is even interactive.
Cons: You hear Ode to Joy a lot. The plot is rather weak and contrived.
My little girl is 2 1/2 now, and we have watched Baby Einstein together for most of that time. I have always felt conflicted about watching TV with a young child, but I must admit that my Hannah takes me by surprise sometimes by identifying objects that ...

BLAST OFF ON A MUSICAL ADVENTURE!!

by LRonHubbs , Feb 09 '06
Pros: Educational, interactive, fun, encourages physical activity and coordination, includes great art, and classical music
Cons: not enough counting, or alphabet encouragement, repeated music gets stuck in your head
My daughter began watching Little Einsteins on the Disney Channel and became hooked. If she is not asking for Dora or JoJo, she is begging to watch Little Einsteins. It is educational, so naturally I am fine with this, and I welcomed the added title to ...

Exposes your Toddler to Classical Music and Art!

by lbuffo , Mar 08 '07
Pros: Series available for purchase on iTunes!
Cons: None
Classical music and famous artwork doesn't sound like a recipe for a hit children's show, but this trio of Little Einsteins episodes makes music and art fun and exciting. The Little Einsteins' Leo (the conductor), Annie (the singer), Quincy (the ...

A Wonderful movie for Children
by smithboy ,May 06 '07
Pros: Teaches while fun at the same time.
Cons: Episodes should be longer.
This is a cute film for children that teaches them while keeping their attention with fun adventures. It follows 4 characters, who are all children as they travel around in 'Rocket' and solve missions while doing it to a short piece from classical music. This is a film for all ages and will have your children singing along with you.

We look forward to many more releases!
by sunsetdreamz ,Dec 04 '05
Pros: The music, interaction, personalities, diversity, all of it
Cons: only 1 DVD by Little Einsteins so far
Our (almost) 3 y/o daughter loves Little Einsteins, and requests that she see them on TV as soon as she is home from preschool. It seems they have even replaced the ole dreaded Barney around here...much to my relief :)
Little Einsteins really seems to take well with preschoolers aged 2.5-5 years or so. A lot of interaction opportunities within the DVD (as well as the shows), diverse characters, pleasant voices, no violence whatsoever, lots of music which affects our children more positively than we realize...so much more. I would say they affect the 5 senses very well--and this DVD s worth every dime, even at full cost. I noticed Amazon is not listed, but we got our copy their and ToysRUs carries them in stock (but barely--they go fast) offline.
If your child(ren) love(s) Little Einsteins, you already know the DVD is gonna be just as great! I do recommend to anyone with a preschooler, even if s/he has never seen the show before.

A Big ... HUGE Hit!
by sunriseok ,Jan 14 '06
Pros: -superb quality, preschoolers love it, inexpensive, content is unquestionable, educational, holds attention
Cons: -only one video available in the series to date!
My kids love this show ... and so do I! My children are 4 1/2 and 3 years. Both boys sit together, sing the theme song, are picking up musical words (Allegro, Staccato, etc.), are humming some classical songs and smile the entire time. This is one of the few movies that they can both agree on. If you would like to introduce your child to some musical and art terminology at an age where they can actually understand it, this is a great tool to use. The video is very well animated, provides opportunity for the kids to get involved in the story (pick out an instrument, pat their knees, etc.), is pleasing for an adult to listen to and is only about an hour in length.

Great Movie for your toddler
by samarghandi ,Oct 13 '05
Pros: great graphics, educational, great classical music
Cons: none
I was a nanny for 8 years before becoming a mommy. So i had to suffer through Barney and Teletubbies. So i was very pleased when Baby Einstein hit the market and our older daughter has the entire DVD set. We always watched them together before bedtime for some wind down. But by the time she turned 2 1/2 baby einstein wasn't that interesting anymore. So i was very pleased to see this movie and we went out the day of it's release.

It is a very cute movie which will captivate your toddler. The grafics are great, and my daughter loves to play along with them when asked to stump her feet and so on.

It is definitely a movie that the parents can enjoy with their children.
