Pros: story, Bale's portrayal of Batman, Nolan's directing Cons: we've seen the "take over the city's water supply" plot before
Coming from the guy who couldn't groove to the four previous glossy Batman films (yes, even the first), I am happy to report that Christopher Nolan's version hits just the right key, just the right note and just the right style. "Batman Begins" is, to ...

Pros: it's a great movie Cons: the villians are a bit lame though
When I was in the big city today I notice that Batman begins was starting today in the theater so I decide to go in. Now I liked the original movie a lot, but all the others between them have been mediocre at best, and were better off has fertilizer at ...

Pros: Batman is finally brought to the screen as it should be. Good performances, good writing. Cons: Secondary characters have much smaller roles in comparison to Bale's.
Someone has finally done it right. Someone has finally made the Batman as he should be. I suppose it's a symptom of the maturing of the comic book-to-movie genre that has happened in the years since the first Batman Movie came out. No, not the Adam West ...

Pros: Caine, Oldman,Murphy,Bale, the Batmobile and several moments. Cons: Holmes, mis-choreographed action scenes, conventional story-telling, ho-hum script.
Christopher (Memento, Insomnia) Nolan's "BATMAN BEGINS" is not a movie about teenage angst and swashbuckling derring do like Sam Raimis Spiderman seriesnor is it just another dumb-down campy, flashy comic book movie. It is also not dark, ...

Pros: good script, love the origins of Batman, Best of the bunch Cons: It drags a bit, not enough of Ken Wantanabe
Growing up in the 1960s, I used to marvel at the Batman TV series. I even had my own version of a Batman Halloween costume as a kid. Yup, I even had the Batman bed sheets. Thinking back, I never had any Batman underwear, that would've been a little ...

Pros: The acting and visual appeal of the film... Cons: ...nothing important.
The word 'prequel' strikes terror into my heart. Generally they suck. None more so than those with attempt to cover some the 'becoming the man they were' ground. Speaking of horrors, we have a Young James Bond movie to look forward to. So my ...

Pros: Intense and excitingly different, great performances Cons: Script goes haywire in the second half
Sequels, prequels, remakes, re-releases, "re-imaginings", comic adaptations - These are what now constitute the bulk of Hollywood's output, particularly over the summer months. Take a look at what's been coming off the blockbuster production line for the ...

Pros: ninjas, cool gadgets, interesting mix of villains, good acting, maintains the right mood Cons: nothing much
When he was a kid, Bruce Wayne, son of billionaire Thomas Wayne, fell into a deep hole and was frightened by a flurry of bats. Later, returning home from the opera one night, the Waynes were confronted by a mugger, who shot and killed Bruce’s parents in ...

Pros: Cinematography, direction, Bale himself, great cast. Cons: Not a thing.....
Batman Begins, this summer’s entry into the Batman film legacy, redefines the series. Director Christopher Nolan, who has already captivated me with his takes on “Memento” and the Al Pacino vehicle, “Insomnia” finds the ...

Pros: Everything because they got it right Cons: Editing tricks, occasional scares
For anyone who has lost faith in the Batman series, Batman Begins is the movie that finally gets it right. This is the movie that restores the much needed dignity to the memory of the series, which was destroyed by the likes of camp director Joel ...

Pros:
Good story, good acting, a fun journey to watch. Cons:
Pacing isn’t perfect,
The film starts out with Bruce Wayne in a Chinese prison. Then for the next 30 or so minutes you get to see some beautiful editing of Bruce training for a secret organization and the back story of Bruce himself as well as what lead him to a prison ...

Pros: True to the Source Material
Great Cast Cons: Pacing is slow in some places
DC’s Dark Knight has gone through many transitions in Hollywood. From the darkness of Tim Burton’s original “Batman” to the horrible Batman and Robin movies, the franchise has hit rock bottom. The problem is that the films leaned more on the cheesy side, ...

Pros: acting, plot, direction, structure, cinematography Cons: script doesn't quite balance emotion, setup, and action, so the duration suffers.
"Batman Begins" brings great dignity and respect to the legend of the dark knight that the previous four installments did not. The film is so precise and respectful of its subject matter, so detailed of the protagonists past and how he, Bruce Wayne, ...

Pros: Emotional impact, plot, score, prescience Cons: (Sound of wind blowing)
Of people I know in the real world (outside epinions), only one is actually in the movie business. He is an itinerant first assistant director who lives with my best friend (for whom I now work, but that's another epinion). Earlier this month ...

Pros: The casting, the acting, the atmosphere, the score, the plot, Christian Bale Cons: Katie Holmes and her lumpy face
Oh where to even start? At the beginning I suppose. Batman Begins takes us back and shows us Bruce Waynes transformation to the Caped Crusader. Most of the early plot is fairly well known to anyone familiar with any part of the Batman mythology, ...
