Pros: A brilliant season-long mystery Cons: Wallace and Veronica
This DVD boxed set of the first season of Veronica Mars was given to me by a friend who insisted that my wife and I would love it. Ive discovered that a lot of people who loved shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer have also really ...
Pros: engaging, great cast, especially Keith Cons: Duncan's blahness, a bit edgy for my tastes
I have a friend who's been trying to get me to watch Veronica Mars for more than a year. It's not that I objected to the idea, but I was a tad wary of the possibility of adding yet another show to my list of obsessions, and anyway I figured it ...
Pros: Strong writing and acting keep you glued to the story Cons: Limited extras
Here's a chance to catch the best new show of the 2004-2005 TV season - ratings challenged Veronica Mars. While the ratings are low, it has a loyal following for a very good reason. In the seaside town of Neptune, California, there are the haves and ...
Pros: Excellent acting and character development, suspense and intrigue, interesting premise Cons: None for me
Just another one of the sarcastic quotes from Veronica Mars, the high school detective that solves everyone's cases, whether it be the norm or from the realm of the strange. This is the best show that WAS on television that I bet you, dear reader, ...
Pros: 22 brilliant episodes in one set. Cons: Lack of special features.
First off, let it be said I have an addiction to buying TV shows on DVD, so it is not entirely unheard of for me to purchase a DVD set of a show I've never even watched before. I did it with Desperate Housewives. I did it with Dead Like Me. ...
Pros: Great cast and stories that keep you engrossed. Cons: Too bad there wasn't more of Alyson Hannigan.
With the deaths of Buffy and Angel from the screen it was great to have another awesome show come along. It was a bit shaky there but it survived and I for one am glad. This show will appeal to Buffy and Angel fans even though there are no demons to be ...
Pros: Interesting characters, Decent acting, Engaging plot Cons: Predictable, Lack of significant DVD extras
I'll admit it; every now and then I pick up something I think I won't like in order to review it on Epinions. Yes, I rail against those who rate virtually everything with four and five stars and argue for the importance of balance and having standards, ...
Pros: Perfect casting and acting, a tight well woven mystery storyline, abundant continuity. Cons: Paris Hilton as a guest star two episodes into the series.
Who really watched UPN? Before its merging into new network the CW, all it was known for were "urban" (ie, with African American casts) sitcoms as derivative as many of their cousins, and ending seasons of dying WB shows (ie, the last season of Roswell ...
Pros: Great acting, story line, and characters Cons: Nothing bad to say about this show
Veronica Mars was one of those gems on T.V. One of those shows that was amazing and brilliantly crafted, but that no one really knew about. The first season of the show was by far the best. This DVD set showcases it one episode at a time. Even if you ...
Veronica Mars--Definitely NOT just for teens... by gemmonk ,Mar 22 '07
Pros: Story line is gripping, Fun, and Addictive Cons: Goes by too quick!
My husband and I are in our late twenties, and my older sister purchased Veronica Mars Season one for us for Christmas. She said, "Don't judge, just watch." After the first episode--we were hooked! For a teenage-based show, the story lines are gripping, and the character depth is refreshing.
Veronica and her father have a loving, trusting relationship that really helps keep the show positive amidst some of the darker story lines. I would highly recommend this show for anyone who likes a good mystery, suspense, and a good laugh. Veronica's biting sense of humor is reminiscent of David Spade (but instead, she's beautiful!)
Sit back, enjoy, and I'll BET you'll run out and purchase Season Two like my hubby & I did!
