  • Godzilla Godawful...but Fun as Hell!!!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Aug 14, 2006
Pros: some cool monsters, really fun to watch in groups...and drunk or high or something
Cons: dumb, brainless, plot-holes, terrible acting, too much emphasis on human fight scenes, etc.

Summary: Ok, it was terrible, cheesy, terribly lame sfx, extremely terrible plot-line, no thought put into it, lame actors, ridiculous human scenes and overall a bad, bad film...but dang...it was fun! I mean, what can one expect? Who's renting it and expecting ... read more

  • Toho's Greatest Monster Hits Assembled in GODZILLA: FINAL WARS

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 12, 2009
Pros: An all-out monster mash; nice special effects
Cons: Overly flashy visuals and incoherent plot development cause problems, especially early on

Summary: In celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of its hallmark character, the giant reptile Godzilla, Japanese studio Toho announced in 2004 that it would be producing the last Godzilla movie.  Godzilla: Final Wars is indeed the monster ... read more

  • Final? Uh-huh. We’ll see...

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jun 1, 2008
Pros: FX, monsters, Takarada, story elements, cheesy fun
    Cons: Too much superfluous material

Summary: Monsters are on the warpath all over planet Earth, so a elite force of mutant soldiers (humans with martial arts skills and super-human strength) has been created to counter the attack, with Kane Kosugi (son of legendary Sho Kosugi) as one of the ... read more

  • Godzilla: Final Wars - The last Godzilla film ever? Yeah, right.

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Mar 8, 2007
Pros: More monsters than you can shake a Godzookie sized stick at!
Cons: The director occasionaly takes a left turn into Stupidville.

Summary: All good things (or all Godzilla things) must eventually come to an end, and so it must be with King of the Monsters. In 2004, Toho announced that they were producing the very last Godzilla film (at least for a while), but intended to go out with bang in ... read more

  • The Wackiest Most Ambitious Godzilla Film Ever

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Mar 10, 2006
Pros: The ultimate Godzilla film that's trashy fun!
    Cons: It is trash, though...

Summary: Holy crap! This movie is totally insane. If this was meant to be Godzilla's last movie, then they sure packed everything they could into it - it's almost as if they just crammed every Godzilla movie together to create one of the most wacked out and ... read more

  • - the best godzilla film to hit the kaiju saga -

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Feb 24, 2006
Pros: Great effects, awesome godzilla costume, wicked cool enemies.
Cons: Could've taken little godzilla out, last film for a long time.

Summary: This godzilla movie is literally the best one of the big-G's entire career. The movie takes the big-G films up a notch to the point of where you know that this is not just another ol' godzilla movie. Godzilla has been frozen in Antartica and has been ... read more

  • Godzilla's Most Stylish and Unique Film Takes Dai Kaiju Sized Risks

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 18, 2005
Pros: Tons of classic giant monsters, some cool surprises. Fast pace makes lesser moments soon forgotten.
Cons: often long and mundane chop-sockey fight scenes among humanoids displace great monster fights.

Summary: Billed as "The Final Godzilla Film" to be made, Final Wars is controversial for satisfying fans desires while challenging their expectations. The Millennium series of Godzilla films began with Godzilla 2000 (known as Godzilla Millennium in Japan) or ... read more

  • Godzilla to the Max!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 14, 2005
    Pros: Action, Monsters, stylish direction
Cons: A wee bit too long

Summary: GODZILLA: FINAL WARS I'll admit to never being a big follower of the many "Godzilla" films, but I can say when I do get a chance to see them I usually enjoy them. Foreign films in general I do like though. Most American made films are so watered down, ... read more
