Pros: Ummm...well...let's see... Cons: Acting, plot, the cast, lame fights
Having just seen Bloodrayne, I will have to agree with the majority of the online community that it is a bad movie, but it isn’t that bad. On IMDB.com, there seems to be some kind of attack going against the director, Uwe Boll, as the movie ...
Pros: Oh wow, um - Loken is hot, I guess. Cons: production values, dialogue, editing...everything you'd expect from Boll.
Perhaps it's unfair to label Uwe Boll the worst director working today; the Ed Wood of our generation. After all, videogame-to-film movies almost never turn out enjoyable regardless of who's behind the camera, and that's all of which Boll has been put in ...
Pros: Some good action. Cons: Stiff acting, thin plot.
Turning a video game into a feature film is often a daunting task. With a large built in audience, gamers tend to be very picky over film adaptations and agitate very easily over even the slightest deviation from the source material. Often ...
Pros: Better than a swift kick to the groin, or other recent Boll films Cons: A completely missed opportunity - could have been great if treated properly.
Bloodrayne marks the third entry into videogame territory for German director Dr. Uwe Boll and his Boll KG production company (the first two being 2003's "House of the Dead" and 2004's "Alone in the Dark"). "House of the Dead" had a pretty strong ad ...
Pros: It's an unintentional comedy Cons: Pretty much everything
First off, I'd like to say I'm a fan of Uwe Boll. Now, before you all tear my head off, let me clarify. He's an awful director, just plain sucks. His inept inaccuracy to direct even the simplest of scenes is baffling. Sure, there are worse directors out ...
Pros: Kristanna Loken, bloody-fighting scenes Cons: Dull storyline, just another typical vampire movie.
Set in 18th century in Romania, Bloodrayne is a video-game adaptation movie directed by Uwe Boll (House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark). Kristanna Loken plays Rayne, a dhampir (half human, half vampire), who is keen to kill her father, Kagan (Ben ...
Pros: Hot chicks, vampire theme. Cons: Everything else.
Well, Loken is magnificently hot, and she gets a protracted but not fully exposed sex scene, but other than that- you certainly don't have to be familiar with the video game, but I would recommend a certain fondness for vampire movies if you are going to ...
Pros: there were...boobs...a few... Cons: This movie was made, nuff said
Being a bloodrayne video game fan i was doomed to see this film. About ten minutes (if not 5) into the movie it is apparent that it is borrowing the Bloodrayne name. The movie does not follow any of the games plot (in fact it destroys it) it doesn't ...

Pros: None; okay the sex was pretty good; Loken's not bad to look at. Cons: Everthing; okay the sex was pretty good.
I didnt have high hopes when I turned on this movie and I was not disappointed, or rather I was disappointed, because I hoped I was wrong. BloodRayne (yet another movie about Vampires) was adapted from a video game by director Uwe Boll, the latest in a long line of such marginal films, this one staring Kristanna Loken (Terminator 3), and Sir Ben Kingsley of all people. Michelle Rodriguez stars as well in the only role she seems to know how to play: the quintessential female action hero with attitude.
Almost from the opening frame Bloodrayne made little sense; the screen play was plain silly and hackneyed. For instance Lokens character, a human/Vampire hybrid, was at first a docile plaything, but she suddenly turned into a semi-skilled, sword wielding Vamp leaving a (long) trail of blood in her wake. The story was bad (though the sex scene was pretty good), the acting worse, the movie a terrible amateurish mess.
Bloodrayne was a great video game and I was excited to hear that they were going to make it into a movie. Until I heard that Uwe Boll was directing it. Why is Ben Kingsley in this movie? Seriously, someone tell me. Horrible movie starring the evil terminator from Terminator 3 in the title role. Good to see she is still in character as a lifeless automaton. At least she looks good in tight outfits. This movie is terrible and should be avoided at all costs unless you want to laugh at Michael Madsen's god awful wig. If you've seen any of Boll's previous films you will be treated to more of the same horrible dialog and acting. If you enjoyed this movie I have a bag of cat poop to sell you, you'd probably enjoy that too.
