Pros: Romance and endearing. Cons: The two years time difference between the two.
The Lake House was one amazing movie that I so thoroughly enjoyed watching. It was also nice to see Keenu Reeves and Sandra Bullock starring again in a movie together. This movie was so romantic and entertaining. I know the plot was a bit impossible but ...
Pros: very romantical, can be liked by guys too!! Cons: none
This is such a nice fantasy "romantical" movie. I don't really like chick-flicks too much but this one had such a neat twist I couldn't help but go out and buy it. From the very beginning you're confused as to where this story is going and how it will go ...
Pros: Great movie from beginning to end. Great acting! Cons: Nothing I can think of.
From the moment I saw the previews to this movie I've been so excited and couldn't wait to see it. So when it first came out, I watched it on the first showing, I was even first in line. I knew this was a remake of a Korean movie. I own the movie ...
Pros: great actors Cons: plot holes!! plot holes!! plot holes!!
This movie had some plot holes and very quick scene transitions. I wouldn't say the actors were bad, no they were really great. I also loved the way the movie was shot, if the plot holes were filled and the transitions were less confusing this movie would be an awesome chickflick. The plot to this movie, which i don't want to give away completely is that Sandra Bullock is a hard working doctor who stays in a house on the lake and through letters she gets to know Keanu Reeves a hard working man living a couple of years before her. Struggling against time they try to meet and from there you have to watch to find out. Great actors but bad direction.
Not Your Typical Romance Movie, Just Better by soft_cotton ,Jun 26 '06
Pros: Wonderful story, and beautifully told by the actor's acting. Cons: None.
It's a remarkable twist on a true love story. Two people destined to be together, can not even touch until the ends of time, as it seems. As the two (Bullock and Reeves) send each other letters through a magical mailbox at the Lake House, they become fond with each other, and fall in love. Strangely they find that they are living two years apart. They don't believe it at first, but they soon realize their "awkward situation. Not age, but almost like in two different universes. It's hard to explain, but when watching the movie, you'll understand. It's one of those sweet love stories that almost don't have an ending. The story unravels into a heart-stopping suspense as Bullock tries to save the relationship before it's too late, only to be followed by a heart warming ending.
There are no "obscene" moments in this movie. A few kisses. The use of slight profanity (only once of twice, nothing like the "F" word).
A lonely doctor (Sandra Bullock) who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated arch...More at Buy.com
