Pros: Storm flies. Jackman, Berry, Stewart, McKellan. Beast is finally shown. Cons: Many characters under used. Nightcrawler was missing. Still no Gambit. Plot didn't reach potential.
Summary: When I was younger, I watched X-Men cartoons and really enjoyed them. I really enjoyed them and the characters and eventually picked up a few of the comic books. I was very happy when I heard that a movie was going to be made and headed off to ... read more

Pros: Kelsey Grammer Cons: They were many and spread out.
Summary: A cure has been found for the so-called mutant problem. Those who believe that there is no need of a cure declare war against those who created it, and anyone else who aids them. The X-Men decide to draw the proverbial line in the sand when a re-risen ... read more

Pros: Good main story, action, and great special effects Cons: Shallow characters leave emotional arcs weak
Summary: So, with the first two movies behind me, it's time to finish the trilogy with X-Men: The Last Stand. Since I hadn't really followed the movies, I didn't know what to expect going in. All conceptions out of my mind, I found the action ... read more

Pros: I love the concept, special effects, some action scenes Cons: Wildly dissatisfying script, treatment of characters, potential wasted
Summary: X-Men: The Last Stand marked the end of the X-Men trilogy originally started by Bryan Singer in 2000. After Singer chose to make Superman Returns for Warner Brothers, he left this series at a standstill where another filmmaker, Matthew ... read more

Pros: Great actors, compelling plot, fabulous special effects. Cons: Cluttered, with lots of under utilized characters. Not the clear vision of Bryan Singer.
Summary: X-Men: Last Stand (2006) Directed by Brett Ratner"When an individual acquires great power, the use or misuse of that power is everything. Will it be used for the greater good? Or will it be used for personal or for destructive ends? Now ... read more

Pros: Everything Cons: The end to the X Men franchise
Summary: X Men 3: The Last Stand picks up where X Men 2: X Men United left off. This time Jean Grey is dead from where she saved her teammates on the ending of the last one and when Cyclops goes to the place she died she comes back and kills him as ... read more

Pros: Special effects, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan Cons: Too many characters - especially the winged guy who kept flying around
Summary: All the X-Men movies build upon each other without any flashbacks from previous films. So for the full effect, viewers should watch the movies in succession. Not realizing that these movies were based on comic books, I watched the first X-Men and ... read more

Pros: Brilliant movie that will delight the fans Cons: Those not familiar with the characters will probably find it shallow and confusing
Summary: This is a DVD that I simply could not wait to get my hands on. For me, the movie has virtually unlimited re-watchability, as I try to spot and identify all the mutants in the cast... Ah! But I get ahead of myself... X-Men: The Last Stand is ... read more

Pros: Great action, entertaining. Cons: Plot is sacrificed for action, too many characters.
Summary: Watching X-Men: The Last Stand left me with a rare feeling after I see a movie-I was perplexed. Usually I know after watching whether I like a movie, don't like a movie, totally hate a movie, love a movie, or am entirely indifferent. I suppose you ... read more

Pros: A few neat special effects and a couple good one-liners. Cons: Uninspired script, contrived, predictable story line. Flat character development. Unsatisfying on all counts.
Summary: I purchased X-Men: The Last Stand solely on the strength of the first two X-Men movies. Ten minutes into my first viewing I feared that I had made a terrible mistake. Here's the scene: Scott (Cyclops), still distraught over the ... read more

Pros: Special effects, big battles, and much of Rebecca Romijn's flawless body. Cons: This is a comic book story, and not even Classic Comics.
Summary: The X-MEN franchise began more than a quarter-century ago as a comic book series, which is still going strong, then an animated cartoon TV series, and then theatrical movies -- X-MEN (2000) and X2: X-MEN UNITED (2003). And this 2006 addition, titled ... read more

Pros: great action and effects, introduction of Beast Cons: weak story development, too many new/changed characters, many DVD variations/problems
Summary: I usually try to start from the beginning when I review a series, but I'm making an exception for X Men because of the mucked-up DVD release surrounding #3. The movie itself is weaker than the previous two, and the DVD marketing is going to give me a ... read more

Pros: Excellent special effects. Good plot. Good performances. Cons: Does not follow the X-Men history, particularly the comics. But, we knew this going in.
Summary: The X-Men trilogy is based more on the 90's animated series than the comics. Although, liberty was taken there as well. The first was mediocre, at best. Some cool plots, but, just too much wrong. The second was much stronger. It gave me hope for ... read more

Pros: Brett Ratner, Hugh Jackman, Kelsey Grammer, special effects, action scenes Cons: Halle Berry, character send-offs, script

Pros: PARALLELS OUR GOVERNMENT'S CURRENT OPPRESSION OF SPECIFIC GROUPS IN SOCIETY-NAMELY THE GAY COMMUNITY.FACT! Cons: MORE EXPLANATION-WHY PRIOR MOVIE'S DISCUSSION OF JEAN'S POWER WERE DELIBERATELY SAID TO BE WEAKER.
Summary: I've heard many people openly willing to criticize the film... I however might just have to say that no. 3 "the last stand," might be my favorite. I wish they explained Jean's 'other side' with a little more detail. It seemed to be one of the more ... read more
