Pros: it's lasted this long-plenty of functions it can do Cons: takes a while to get used to
I have owned the Texas Instruments TI-30 XIIS Scientific Calculator since 1999 when I took College Algebra, and it still around, now it sits on my desk and helps me figure payroll once a week. I remember buying this calculator either at Target or ...
Pros: Handles all your simple math needs on a great 2-line display. Nice price. Cons: Dust gets under screen. Spongy keys. Weird cover.
I originally bought a TI-30X IIS for about $16 at Office Depot. I liked the unit, and gave it a 5 star review here at epinions. Then I lost it, but since theyre not expensive, I went out and bought another one. Strangely, my new TI-30X IIS is not ...
Pros: Reasonable price, sturdy, many useful math functions. Cons: Like most cheap TI calculators, these tend to lose display digits.
I bought this calculator to replace another TI calculator that had lost one of its display digits and also had a spongy key. It was time for that one to go. I had already seen one important change in the TI-30-XIIS over my previous calculator that ...
Pros: Incredibly versatile and inexpensive Cons: Cannot graph
I remember back in 8th grade (I'm a first-year college student now) when all the hype in algebra class was about this new-fangled "TI-30x" calculator. "And when your parents ask you what you want for Christmas, tell them that you want a...
Pros: easy to use, quick keys, fraction function, Cons: Only a two line screen
I am a high school student, and since i was taking two math classes this year, and calculator-less, i set out to walmart, about 3 months ago to get myself a new calculator. Since i have had it this long, i can say that this calculator is at least ...
Pros: Very useful and easy to use. Cons: Don't break it.
I got the chance to use this calculator when I was in business school, and it’s great however, I did have a few problems with it when I dropped it on the floor. But before that incident, it worked well. It’s easy to use and is great for your ...
With the beginning of the new school year I needed a new calculator that had all the functions I would need to progress in my Algebra II class and the Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS calculator was perfect for the job. My mother was wise to buy this...
Pros: had all of the functions needed--was easy to keep track of Cons: short life span
I loved my TI-82, which was provided in classes while attending high school, so I hadn't ever needed to buy one.I wanted to wait until after my first day of Algebra class to choose a calculator. It was my first semester in college and I did not know...
Pros: Infinite numbers/signs on each line, previous problems can be reviewed Cons: Not an exact calculator
I originally bought this to have a great, cheap calculator. It works better than normal basic calculators due to some new features which are better than the TI 30X. Some of these features include a 4 way arrow button, which allows editing a...
Pros: Durability and ease of use Cons: Slightly awkward cover
I recommend this as the calculator of choice to my science students for basic number crunching. I find the calculator to be virtually indestructible and is loaded with basic math functions.
Pros: Easy to use, good sized buttons, good price, lots of functions. Cons: Difficult to fit in cover.
I recently acquired this TI scientific calculator after my very sturdy and reliable Casio one got smashed in my backpack. Sad times. Upon arriving at Office Depot to purchase this item, I noticed that there were a lot of calculators to choose from ...
Pros: It adds everything up right, you can use letters to write your name! Cons: CONFUSING!
I can't do math for my LIFE. That is how bad I am at math. I still struggle doing subtraction and addition and everything else there is for my grade level cariculum. I knew this was a lot of money, that's why I was VERY greatful(more greatful beyond...
I can remember how to add, but can't remember how to work the calculator by lucky43560 ,Feb 16 '04
Pros: Works fine and shuts off by itself. Didn't cost too much either. Cons: Couldn't recall right away how to use all the keys.
I bought the Texas Instrument TI_30X IIS Calculator two years ago. I needed it for a chemistry class I was taking. I can remember that it was great tot use. I was able to make all my calculations with no problem. When my class was over, I put away the calculator and have not used it since. This semester I am taking a math class, I knew I would need a calculator so I dug it up. One small problem, I cannot remember how to use all the keys. After several hours of playing around with it, I was able to recall all the function keys I would need to use for my class.
I wish they made a little guide to keep on the inside cover so I would always know what keys to hit to solve my problems.
I will say that for the price it works well, just don't forget how to work all the keys.
