Pros: Dive fleet and equipment, Ricardo(our DM), Gourmet food Cons: Drink prices, the General Manager
After spending a week there, I am hooked on Cozumel. This resort is simple and easy. Great hammocks next to the dock. Great, quality, equipment and knowledgeable staff. I dove off the Reef Star (pictured above), great boat. The rooms were ok....

Pros: Good organization, diver friendly rooms. easy shore diving, close to town, laid back, nice vacation Cons: The place has been open forever, and is not as plush as the new resorts
I've traveled throughout the Carribean but for a quick dive fix Cozumel is always top on the list. Its close, cheap, good diving, with a few thousand of your best friends.
Scuba Club (the old Galopagos Inn) is a part of Cozumel's diving...

Pros: Excellent diveboat and one of the most reputable dive operations in Cozumel. Cons: No meal is provided in between dive.
Scuba club Cozumel is a resort and a dive operation center. I did not stay at this hotel but I did go diving with them. I made 4 dives with them in the summer of 1999 and 4 dives with them in the summer of 2000. I was doing a research study with DAN...

my stay at the SCC
by joemislosky ,Mar 20 '05
Pros: great place to stay and relax and dive. with no worries or hassels Cons: no ammenities bring your own shampoo
The Scuba Club Cozumel (SCC) was the best vacation I ever had
It is very clean, well kept and secure.
Everyone was great, staff was devoted to making you happy.
All the guests are great easy to make new friends.
The food was excellent. Portions are decent, out of the week I was there I heard no one complain on the food, everyone actually raved over it.
Make sure you bring your own amenities, no shampoo, lotion or tv & phones. Very relaxing without them
The beds are hard but comfortable; I never had a cold shower, and did not here of anyone else running out of hot water. The rooms are very quiet & spacious. Views are awesome.
The diving is great, the divemasters are very observant and if you want to see different things or need help there there. The shore diving is very good, especially for night diving.
Make sure to bring locks because dive lockers are provided and are large enough for
2 divers gear per locker.
