I dove with Scuba Du for my first dives. Pirate, my dive master was very attentive and took care of me. The staff is very nice and I would recommend them. If you are staying at the Presidente, this is the way to go. The prices are very reasonable.

Pros: Great service. Teachers are excellent communicators. Quick, reasonably priced certification.
Cons: We had to come home after a week!

My husband and I just returned from a week in Cozumel at the Hotel Cozumeleno. That hotel has an Ocean Tours/Scuba Du Dive shop. We did our Open Water certification there, and it was GREAT. Our instructor, Sergio, was FABULOUS. He was an excellent communicator, spoke great English, and was patient and kind. Our certification only took 2.5 days! After that, we went on a two-tank Scuba Du Drift Dive to Palancar Reef and San Francisco Reef. It was AWESOME! We saw turtles, a barracuda, and beautiful coral that we swam through. I'd like to note that I had a hard time getting started with the certification, because of seasickness. Sergio's co-instructor, Maria, helped me to shore the first time. They were both wonderful and understanding and didn't give up on me. Multiple Dramamines later, I got my certification! I love Scuba Du/Ocean Tours, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Cozumel.
