Cons: Lag time, OS instability (< patch2.0), no cradle included, microdrive and battery not interchangable, bulky
It has been 3 years that I resisted temptation to get a new PDA, mainly because my So ny Clie PEG-NX60 did such a great job with my daily routine that it simply wasn't necessary for another incremental improvement for a ...

Pros: WiFi and Bluetooth, 4GB hard drive
Cons: Battery life is an issue
My teenage daughter has been bugging me for months now to get her a laptop or PDA so she could use it for her school work. I guess I waited a bit too long to get her one before school got out since she has less than two weeks to go before summer ...

by shhepinions , Jul 13 '05
Pros: Wifi; Bluetooth; 4Gb hard drive; very clear screen
Cons: Occasional crashes; no access to applications in drive mode
I was very excited when I heard that a new Palm was coming out. Since I got my first m100 six years ago, I’ve watched developments with interest. Over the period, I’ve upgraded to the m505 and the Tungsten T. I was tempted by the Tungsten T3 but ...

Good job yet again for PalmOne...

by greenglowz , Jul 07 '05
Pros: Landscape view, 4GB storage, WiFi, 4GB storage, bluetooth, 4GB storage...
Cons: Nothing
I have been using and relying HEAVILY on PalmOS handhelds since the late 90s because I cannot remember a thing if I don't write it down... After my Tungsten|E recently suffered an untimely death (busted screen), I decided to see it as an opportunity ...

LifeDrive - why I can live without it

by guerbi , Aug 04 '05
Pros: Large memory, bright display, good shape, looks solid and trustworthy
Cons: Crashes, crashes, crashes, crashes...
I've been a palm user for many years. My last palm was a T3, which I used a lot for business (dates, addresses, project planning, etc.) and at home. When I saw the LifeDrive, I decided to buy one because of the huge memory. To carry all important ...

Horrible Product, Even Worse Support.

by djjohn , Nov 01 '05
Pros: Hard Drive, WiFi, Bluetooth
Cons: Doesn't work often, poor support
I purchased the LifeDrive thinking it would be a great device to have with my on my vacation to Italy. With a large hard drive, I could transfer digital photos to, and I could email directly from the device using WiFi, not to mention sync to my Mac. ...

Palm Life Drive

by smiling1809 , Dec 22 '05
Pros: Great display, 3.85GB hard drive, wireless internet capabilities, Bluetooth compatable, great programs.
Cons: Lags when accessing programs, music skips when LD is accessing the hard drive.
When I decided to buy a new PDA, I did my research. Using www.pcworld.com, www.consumerreports.com, and www.amazon.com, I narrowed it down to the Dell Axim 53v and Palm LifeDrive. I actually went to the mall to hold the Dell (they have a Dell stand.) I ...

Good Product

by esi225 , Apr 21 '06
Pros: Storage, strong display, connectivity.
Cons: Battery life, aging operating system.
Before I purchased the LifeDrive, I spent a good deal of time carefully going through the reviews and the competitive products. Then I went to local retail outlets and tried out a variety of PDAs. Whatever someone buys needs to "fit" their particular ...

Associate Palm LifeDrive with the word 'Slow'!

by marble03 , Oct 01 '05
Pros: Has an intuitive interface, great software, great speakers, and customizable buttons.
Cons: Very slow, operating system crashes a lot, big and bulky!
With my crazy, hectic schedule my boss offered to buy me a PDA to get me organized. I chose the Palm LifeDrive Handheld. I admit this is my first PDA I've owned, but I have fiddled with many including the Palm Zire 31, Dell Axim X50v, and a couple HPs. ...

Pros: large screen, ability to hold many documents, WiFi, bluetooth
Cons: extremely bulky and heavy, operating system errors
I bought this PDA (my first) for use in nursing school. I do use it frequently for accessing databases while working in the hospital. I was also surprised to use it frequently for playing games during down time (i.e., waiting for an oil change), ...

by lewisb2 , Jun 14 '05
Pros: 4GB of memory, wi-fi, bluetooth...all the bells and whistles.
Cons: MP3 player skips when performing other operations, can only connect bluetooth phones with GSM...
This was my first PDA purchase. I did a lot of research before buying this one, and ,from looks ,it probably is by far the best deal for the price. 4GB of memory, wi-fi, bluetooth, mp3 capability, video, internet. It's got it all. But I was not ...

Cannot be relied upon

by vshabat , Aug 30 '06
Pros: Nice screen WiFi
Cons: Unstable Too long to reboot Some applications don't start after a while No cradle Bulky
I have been a loyal Palm user for some time, having stuck with Tungsten T for over three years. My uses are probably pretty standard: organizer functions (calendar/contacts/notes/tasks ) for use most of the time, plus games and reading texts for when o...

Bad investment
by thugcop ,Feb 02 '07
Pros: When the device works its a beautiful thing..
Cons: The Device never works.
I agree the life drive has been a bad investment. Its has be riddled with problems from software conflicts to the device it self just failing. And customer support once you get past the language barrier doesn't have a clue...They schedule for a level 2 tech who take days to call you back. DON'T BUY!!!!!!!!!!

Lifedrive Crashes and will not turn back on
by sail123 ,Jan 27 '07
Pros: 4 Gig Hardrive
Cons: Unusable if it crashes and will not start up again. Poor service.
I have had to send this product back twice already for the same problem. Now it has occurred again, just out of your warranty period too. This is a poor product, with absolutely poor warranty repair service that I paid $AU750 for. Now I am expected to PAY more money to repair it AGAIN, a fault that was obviously not corrected the first TWO times it was repaired(sic). Tell me why I would bother to pay for a repair that will be clearly temporary in nature? I need a reliable product for business everyday. No, I will purchase a new product, DEFINATELY NOT A PALM PRODUCT and not in anyway associated with palm. I will also actively promote PALM products and warranty service as extremely poor and Unreliable to everyone I possibly can for rest of my life!
I buy a computer or washing machine with only a 1 year warranty on them, but they don’t stop working at the end of it, they go for years longer.
