Pros: Cooling place in the hot summer days. Fun to watch the sliders. Tempted myself! Cons: They do have many warning signs posted.

Pros: Close to Phoenix (Nice Day Trip), Beautiful Area, Close to Other Stuff (Sedona) Cons: Slick Rocks (Be careful), Gets Crowded, Can't Pick Apples
Summary: Slide Rock is a nice easy day trip from Phoenix, just a couple hours drive through beautiful Sedona into Oak Creek Canyon. It is a natural waterslide, maybe a more appropriate name would be Slime Rock since that's what it is, slimy rocks. it is fun, but ... read more

Pros: Fun, beautiful, cool Cons: Limited parking, red rock stains clothes, weekends are a nightmare!
Summary: Ahh, I love this place! Upon moving to the northern Phoenix area, we had heard many tales of Slide Rock and were anxious to check it out for ourselves. Time constraints postponed our trip until my niece and nephew were out for a visit one summer.

Pros: no cost Cons: crowded in summer
Summary: Slide rock is one of the places to see when traveling in Arizona, about 30 miles south of Flagstaff. And just north of Sedona. Also one of the greatest places to visit on your trip.
