Pros: every bit of it Cons: I cant think of one
I traveled to Glacier in August 1998 with my honey. My first time there along with going to Yellowstone.
Coming up from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and crossing through Montana, and the wide open spaces really set me up for the entrance into...

Pros: Wildlife, breath-taking scenery, hiking, rafting, camping Cons: It's very hard to leave
If you're a nature lover, then you can't miss Glacier. The park has something for everyone, the activities ranging from white water rafting to picnicking on the sand and swimming in the river. It's a great place to hike, there's plenty of wildlife...

Pros: Scenery if you can see it. Encounters with wildlife: bears, bighorn sheep, and many deer. Cons: Poor and badly organized shuttle system. Check fire and weather reports from independent sources.
We were unlucky to come to Glacier National Park in the summer of 03, the summer of fires. Well, we couldn't see anything and we were greatly surprised that it was open at all! At Adgar Village smoke was hanging thick inside the hotel and they still dar ...

Pros: the beauty of it is unlike no other Cons: roads are extremely windy
While living in Montana for several years I had the great experience of being able to visit Glacier. The trip from home was lengthy but after arriving at the park it was surely worth it. The magestic mountains zoom right out at you. The waterfalls, the...

Pros: Glacier offers outstanding scenery, solitude, and extensive opportunities for day-long to week-long hiking. Cons: Campgrounds options are few, pricey, and suffer from a lack of privacy.
So we discovered on the trail to Grinnell Glacier, a 5.5 mile one way (we have it on good advice that the signs aren't too accurate) stunning, uphill, full-of-wildflower-meadows-and-bear-signs hike. The terrain is diverse - you climb through three...

Pros: Scenery, scenery, scenery Cons: A long way to go but worth it
I have been to many great vacation sites in the U.S.A. and nowhere have I seen views to match the ones found
in Glacier Park.Last year I visited Waikiki beach in Hawaii and although the sunset was glorious I still love the going to the sun road in...

Pros: Beautiful Views, tour packages are dynamite. Cons: None, its nature!
"Oh my!" The words uttered as I viewed every breath-taking view of this park, which was virtually every time I blinked. This is the place to take the family. Forget Disney World and Busch Gardens, take the kids to an educational spot. Let them learn...

Pros: Awe inspiring Cons: In the middle of nowhere except by Train!
Several years ago we decided to take a slow trip across the American Rockies and traveled on AmTrak from Chicago to Seattle. We spent one night at the lodge at Glacier. It was unbelievable. The lodge was built for the railroad and is crafted from the...

Pros: Clean air, beautiful lake, and best of all there are many places to visit. Cons: I did not find any cons when I was there.
I was on a scenic bus trip that started in Washington State then circled through Canada and Wyoming, then back to Washington State, WOW what places we saw. Like Lake Louise, Calgary and Glacier National Park.
I had never before seen such...

Pros: peaceful, beautiful, elegant, ancient, wonder Cons: none
This place is elegant and wonderful. The air is fresh and clean, the scenery magnificent. A great place to go on a spiritual quest or to gain a deeper respect for nature. The world is full of places one must see, and this is one of them. It's not...

Pros: Beautiful Cons: weather
This has got to be the most beautiful place on the face of the planet. When I was there last 1998, we took a 5 mile or so drive through the most awe inspiring scenery. The Going to the Sun road through Glacier National Park, is just one tiny area of...

Pros: This park is less crowed than Yellowstone. Wildlife is better than Yellowstone. Cons: Road can be scary
Glacier National Park is Better than Yellowstone to me. The Mountains are prettier and has less crowds. The Going to the Sun Road was a little difficult for me being from Florida. I had only driven in the Mountains of North Carolina. These Mountain are...

Pros: The most beautiful place on the planet, etc. Cons: Going to the sun road takes away from the wilderness experience, and the backcountry is much prettier anyway, but other than that, none
I have been to Glacier every year since 1997 and plan on going every year for the rest of my life. I have been to every park in the U.S. and none of them can even begin to compare with the splendor of Glacier. Most people who write reviews think that it...

Pros: Nice and quiet not to many people around Cons: Not to many people around!
O.K. Glacier National Park is beautiful and quiet and not all crowded with folks. But that’s what scares me. I mean I have an overactive imagination. I thought now what kind of animals are out here with us while we are all ALONE. I would rather be at a...
