Pros: Fun, Educational, and a great way to spend a weekend Cons: It is a hard hike if you are not in shape!
If you like culures, hiking and/or backpacking this is the destination for you. Bandeleir has many archaeological sites that are available for everyone to visit at the parking area or with only a small walk. There are also several trails that you can hike. These trails go through canyons and pass by several archaeological sites in the backcountry. Camping is permitted in this area with a permit. It makes a really nice two day hike.
