I have been to the Salinas Valley area several times. The site consists of 3 separate sets of ruins, Gran Quivira, Abo & Quarai. While each site consists of a main cathedral area and village, each site is unique and has its own character.

Quarai, Abo, and Gran Quivara are ruins of ancient Indian pueblos and Spanish missions. The ruins themselves are worth a look-see, but the intriguing environment is what draws me back.
