Beavers Bend State Park

Pros: Beautiful Park
Cons: We Didn't stay long enough

Beaver's Bend State Park is located in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. We just went for one day and have regretted ever since. We are planning on going back and spending more time. This is a beautiful and breathtaking park.

There is much to do here....

Pros: Beautiful scenery. Lots to do.
Cons: Horrible bathrooms in tent site areas. No showers. Lots of trash.

My husband and I were traveling near Beaver's Bend on a camping trip and wanted to check it out for our son's family.

Maybe we are spoiled by our usual camping spots at state parks in Texas, but the bathroom was only a cinderblock *two-holer*...

Pros: Tranquility! Not too crowded.
Cons: Be on the lookout for poison ivy if it affects you.

We love this park! We live in Dallas and it is an easy drive and a great weekend getaway. The town around it is small and there are not the HUGE crowds that you get in lakes around Dallas. The Army Corps of Engineers owns all the land on the lake, so ...

I have enjoyed going to Beavers Bend for the past 7 years for church camp. i loved it the Canoeing was fantasic and the swimming was wonderful because it was 97 degrees and the water was a mere 70 or so. the hay ride was so very cool and their horses...

Pros: Wonderful view, great relaxing water sports to do in spare time.
Cons: Not much to do in the winter months, just be careful for ticks.

Our family visited this summer for a weekend camping trip.
The location is very beautiful and woodsy. The trails were
great and the lake was gorgeous! The water was so clear that you could see all the way down to your toes! There were a lot of critters, raccoon, armadillo, beaver, gray squirrel and lots of birds. We were able to see a pileated
woodpecker! They did like to get into your food and garbage though so seal your things up well! The campsites on the river we very large so we did not feel like we were
sitting on top of the other campers. The only negative thing I have to say that the bathrooms were a little nasty.
We did find some nicer bathrooms with showers in the camping areas on the lake. We loved it though. Tracy
