Serendipity is alive and well. Sometimes you make elaborate plans to visit somewhere or learn something, and sometimes you just decide it's time to take a break on a long drive and you stumble onto something you will never forget. The latter was the case...

We viewed the displays at the visitor's center for the Allegheny Portage Railroad. Since we were on a schedule, we didn't have time to take the hike and see the restored, operational incline. Surely though, we will make plans to visit there again soon....
