Pros: Green! Natural! Cons: none
Located in Transylvania County, called the land of waterfalls, is a hypnotic place. I just got back from a September trip, and though the falling water was falling probably as little as it will all year, I can still say they are jewels to behold. ...

Pros: Theres more to do here than Disney Land Cons: not enough time to do it all
There is so much to do and see in the Pisgah National Forest. From the humble beginnings of the National forest ,from the Vanderbilts saving parts of the forest for themselves. It spans all the way from Asheville North Carolina up into the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.I made the mistake of traveling through the forest on back swervy roads instead of staying on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is beautiful but you're body can only take so much back and forth driving. There is a large waterfall called looking glass falls, where you can go right down to the bottom of the falls it's a great place for pictures. Then just up highway 276 theres sliding rock which is a natural slide cut out by the river you actually slide down a big rock with water pushing you down to a big pool of usually cold weather. So it's a good idea to go in the dead of summer. There is also the cradle of forestry,an educational place about the forest and everything in it.And of course there are hiking trails all over the forest. And several cities close by for any supplies that are needed.
