Pros: Splendid isolation, wonderful adventures, trail gradients for every age!
Cons: Even in March and April, desert temperatures can be hot! Shade is a luxury.

Summary: If you want to get away from it all, this is the place! Because of its out-of-the-way location, Big Bend draws few visitors compared to many parks. And if you bring your own car-camping or backpacking gear and food, you can actually get by for a week ... read more
