Pros: Plenty of birds and wildlife, lots of trails, and well maintained facilities. Cons: It is a swamp, so be prepared for bugs and hot humid weather.

Pros: This park is close to Houston to see nature and the stars up high. Cons: Could be hot in the Summer and take extra caution with the alligators.

Pros: Convenient to Houston, wildlife/birds, paved trails, observatory, friendly staff Cons: Not many unpaved trails, can get crowded, fishing is tricky with the gators present
