I stayed at this beautiful park on labor day 2004, and around 9:00pm we (three of us) noticed most of the park trees were covered with wood roaches. I haven't heard from anyone complaining about this. I don't even know if this is normal... I called the park two weeks after, and they said no one has ever complained about cockroaches in the park. We flashed a flashlight at them and soon after they were running around our camp site. We looked for a different spot, but the campsites next to us had the same problem. Well, we were really disappointed since we have brought a friend to stay with us at park we consider the best in Texas. Needless to say we packed our stuff and left, well, I don't like these creatures.
I'm just curious, did it only happen that week-end?
