Pros: A don't miss Park that is do-able in a day. Cons: Main road and trails can be congested in summer
If you only have a day in the Jackson area, don't try to "do it all" by driving 80-90 minutes out of town to Yellowstone. You'll end up wishing you had more time, and missing great sights - and probably most of the wildlife - trying to rush from geyser...

Pros: beautiful mountain scenery, helpful rangers, nice backpacking, limited crowds if in right place Cons: i did not spend enough time there
I visited Grand Teton NP during my first ever drive out west. We went there after our 5 day stay in yellowstone. The only thing we really did in grand teton national park was a backpack and a little scenic driving (not much driving). we did an ...

Pros: Scenery, Campground, Ranger Talks Cons: Could not find a moose or Trumpeter Swan!
My husband, seven year old daughter and I traveled to Grand Teton National Park in July of 2004. We rented a tent camper in Salt Lake City. We rented the camper from Utah RV Rentals and a car from Rugged Rentals. Both of these businesses were ...

Pros: Beautiful scenery, great hiking, lots to do. Cons: None
On July 15, 2004 we arrived in Grand Teton National Park. We have a National Park Pass which costs $50. I highly recommend buying one. It will get you into all the Parks for free. Grand Teton is located in northwestern Wyoming. The Grand Teton Range ...

Pros: Most beautiful place I have ever seen. Unlike other parks, solitude can be found! Cons: Relatively none; although a couple of spots here and there can get crowded.
Wow! I just read some of the other epinions on the Tetons and the enthusiasm for the park is just great.
But I'm not surprised because I know for a fact that Grand Teton National Park is one of the most picturesque, beautiful, spiritual and...

Pros: Spectacular and less crowded than Yellowstone. Cons: It's too far away from me here in Houston.
Overshadowed by its neighbor to the North, Grand Teton National Park is one of the most spectacular places in the world to visit. I guess of all the places I've been it compares best with parts of the Alps, but with more abundant wildlife. I love to hike ...

Pros: Beautiful scenery, interesting wildlife, rafting, good fishing, and great hiking. Cons: Grizzly bears may bite
I have been to Grand Teton National Park a few times with my family (2005) and on two parent tag along 4th grade class trips with my two boys (2004 and 2007). Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are right next to each other. What we ...

Pros: The Best NP Scenery I've found. Cons: The crowds get bigger every year now.
A few years ago a friend and I went on a month-long camping trip across 6,000 miles of the American Northwest and the Canadian Rockies. We visited ten national parks along the way. GRAND TETON National Park was the crown jewel of that trip.

Pros: Spectacular sights, sounds, smells, weather. Cons: Summer is short.
Have you ever heard of Grand Teton National Park?
Tucked away in the great state of Wyoming, just North of Jackson Hole lies a wilderness of beauty. If you are out West visiting the well-known tourist attractions in Yellowstone National Park,...

Pros: Amazing scenery, abundant wildlife, good to visit during any season Cons: expensive, limited affordable lodging, time-consuming, crowded on weekends
Grand Teton National Park is overlooked for one reason: neighboring Yellowstone. Every time I go out to Yellowstone and meet new people, they always tell me how they just don't have enough time to get down to Grand Teton. They are making a HUGE ...

Pros: Pretty well everything; lakes, mountains, not busy Cons: Somewhat difficult to get to
Grand Teton National Park is the only National Park in the United States that I can say has nothing bad about it. Most people go to Yellowstone National Park, yet ignore the fabulous park that is only a short distance from its southern ...

Pros: Peace, quiet, and scenery Cons: entertainment
Grand Teton National park is a wonderful place to "get away from it all," so to speak. There is not a whole lot of attractions when speaking of man-made oddities, but if you are looking for nature at its best, this is it. The mountains are beautiful,...

Pros: peace quite Cons: no stores nearby
Bring your camera to the most fabulous park in the US, the Grand Tetons. You will never seen more beautiful scenery than this. True Yellowstone has its geysers and Old Faithful, but the wooded panoramic views of this park are totally breath taking. ...
