Pros: Clean styling, roomy interior, low noise levels, low price, safety features, warranty Cons: Forgettable styling, merely adequate performance, overly light steering The Bottom Line: Recommended for anyone seeking thoroughly competent transportation at a decent price. I'd wait for the rebates, though.

Pros: Comfortable Driving Experience, Warranty, Features, Room Cons: Some controls hard to reach, Not as fast as Accord The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a comfortable car, the Sonata will offer that with room to spare.
I will admit that I am biased, as my family proudly owns two Hyundais.(Santa Fe and Elantra) We have had no problems with them, and we have convinced others to how great they are. I work in the car business, and many of my customers gush about how happy ...

Pros: Good fit and finish and a host of standard safety features Cons: The Hyundai nameplate may be a problem for those who remember the dreaded Excel The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a surprisingly affordable vehicle with many standard and safety features, this deserves a test drive.
Introduction It was time for my aging 2002 Cadillac Deville to be replaced and after test driving a 2005 PT Cruiser, a 2005 Saturn ION and a 2005 6 cylinder Hyundai Sonata, I had decided upon the Sonata. We were at a break in the paper signing ...

Pros: Room, refinement, engines, options, looks. Cons: No true manual with the V6, a wee bit big for my taste. The Bottom Line: I would easily recommend this vehicle to anyone in the market for a fun to drive, well equipped family sedan.
This review will cover my test drive in 2 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS-one with the 4 cyl, and one with the 6 cyl. I won't bore you with statistics-they can be found on the Hyundai website. EXTERIOR-Yes. This car looks like the Accord. And maybe a few ...

Pros: Excellent list of standard features, safety, initial quality, fit and finish. Cons: Missing finishing luxury touches like fully auto-headlights, etc. The Bottom Line: This is one serious contender in the mid-size family car space - don't buy Honda or Toyota without a test drive!
General The brand new Hyundai Sonata was redesigned and released as a 2006 model this past summer/fall. Hyundai are building on a history of giving more for less, while making quantum leaps forward in reliability and quality over the past 5 ...

Pros: Cheap, yet very well made, great features, pleasing performance. Cons: Not quite up to Toyota/Honda/Nissan standards but not far off. The Bottom Line: It's everything you need at a great price without sacrificing comfort & with great economy.
The Hyundai range is still the butt of some jokes & scoffing, but the new Sonata is firmly quelling any such suggestions. Rightly so. The newly designed 2006 models saw fresh, eye pleasing styling & interior. It is still a little bland, a kind of ...

Introduction I previously owned a Jaguar XJR and it was a great car to drive, but the 370 HP V8 supercharged engine really used a lot of gas. When the gas price started to reach $3/gallon, we know that we had to find a new car that uses a lot ...

Pros: Price, better V6 engine than previous Sonatas, more features, smoother ride Cons: Fuel MPG, less headspace with sunroof, spare tire is not full sized The Bottom Line: Comparing it to the Camry LE and Accord SE, this car is right up there as far as features, affordability, and warranty
My wife and I were car shopping between several manufacturers and in the end the Hyundai Sonata won out. The competitors were the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Chevy Impala, Ford 500, and Chrysler 300. All I can say about the American dealers is that one ...

Pros: Price, acceleration off the line, nice paint color selection. Cons: Poorly built, plant shifted to Alabama this year, cheap plastic. The Bottom Line: I would not buy this new model year ('06) until Hyundai can work-out the build issues in '07.

Pros: Great looks, nice creature comforts, good power & nice handling! Cons: Not-so-hot mileage and the seat-belt alarm is WAY loud and repetitious. The Bottom Line: Buy it! The Sonata runs several thousand dollars less than comparably equipped Accord's & Camry's according to what I saw on Edmunds and is a wonderful car.
I've now gone from a 2000 Accent to a 2003 Elantra GT to the brand new 2006 Sonata. They have all been good in their own way and a step up each time. However, I'd have to say the Sonata LX was a large jump up for me. I'd been wanting to get a slightly ...

Pros: Clean lines, Smooth finish, Power of V-6, Comfortable drive. Cons: Possibly could use a little more undercarriage noise protection, but it's not bad. The Bottom Line: Test drive any other vehicle, then test drive the Sonata. You will leave the others behind.
I had been looking for a mid-size car for a few months now. I test drove several of the midsize class of cars. Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Mitsubishi Galant, and didn't even consider the Hyundai. That was before I found out about the 2006 model. I ran down ...
