Pros: True SUV, upscale interior, roomy rear seat, fuel economy, low price, safety features Cons: Unsporting tires, bland character, low-range only with top trims The Bottom Line: A spiffy interior, true SUV capabilities, and very low price make the new Grand Vitara a strong contender. But don't expect sporty handling.

Pros: Price. Good road holding. Air con. Cd. Cons: 30 mpg. Sluggish in lower gears, you don't beat anybody away from the traffic lights!
I bought the 3 door version new 5 weeks ago. It is my first foray into the 4X4 market. Very impressed. Smooth drive. Best car I have ever driven and reasonably priced for a 4X4.
