Pros: Features and ease of use. Cons: Callers would fade in and out.
I bought my panasonic phone knowing that they made good quality cordless phones and as a repeat buyer from previous models I needed a cordless with a answering machine built in. The phone controls are very easy to use and with the touch of the menu ...
Pros: Many thoughtful features, good sound quality, modest size Cons: Sound still not perfect, and may not have every feature you might want
Like many people, I have tried lots of cordless phones trying to find one that didn't have some annoying issue that made life worse instead of better. This little phone seems to finally meet my frequently abused expectations. First, the sound quality ...
Pros: Solid construction, great user interface, easy to program, excellent range, attractive design, visual red-blinking indicator. Cons: Shoulder-rest attachment gets in the way when the phone is charging.
My 10-year-old Sony cordless phone had finally given up the ghost. This Panasonic phone does everything the Sony did and more. I love this one and expect to be using it for another 10 years, or at least until cellphones catch up to land-line phones in ...
Pros: Clarity, battery life, style, speaker phone, features..... Cons: Interference, low volume, not enough memory in speed dial, changing channels
Very good phone. Bought it at Wal-Mart for $60. I spent a lot of time shopping around for this one. The clarity on this thing is amazing! It is crystal clear. The volume on this thing is a little low though. If you don't have the voice enhancer on i ...
User friendly but sound has a "tinny" quality by ceconrad ,Aug 12 '04
Pros: User friendly, inexpensive, mobile speakerphone Cons: Transmitted sound is not the best, quality is suspect
Always remember that if something looks too good to be true, it probably is.
I saw a stack of these on sale at Office Depot for CAD99 (This is about USD75 at the moment.) So I tried it. The setup was easy. The answering machine works great, especially if you set it to the higher-quality recording mode, though this does limit you to 5 minutes.
However, as soon as you ask the person on the other end how it sounds, they say, "well, it does sound a bit hollow/tinny/echoey." Sure enough, I had my wife call me at work from the KX-TG2224, and it does sound a bit hollow compared with the many other cordless phones and mobile phones I've used. This is very disappointing. I don't want to sound like I'm talking on a $10 phone. So this phone will go back to the store, if they'll take it back.

UPDATE
My wife just called me again, and now it seems that the phone has failed. The screen has gone completely blank. Sigh. Panasonic just isn't what it used to be.
Poor Quality for a good brand name by doobala ,May 06 '04
Pros: Great look, good features. Cons: Very bad sound quality.
I bought this phone because Panasonic has a good reputation with their products it also had all the features that I wanted. However, very shortly after I bought the phone it started to sound like everyone was underwater. The sound kept going in and out making it impossible to talk to anyone on the phone. The instructions said to keep pressing the Talk button to fix the problem, but it never worked. Sometimes the phone would great, but most times not. It worked especially bad when I was furthest from the base.
The quality of the recording on the answering machine was also very garbled. I should have returned the phone as soon as I could not fix it, but I never did so its my fault I got stuck with it. I recently replaced it with a Motorolla MD681 which works great. However, I am very disappointed that I spent about $70 on a phone that did not last me a year. I'm very disappointed in Panasonic.
speaker works well, easy setup by markcrimson ,Jun 30 '04
Pros: easy to use speaker phone and answering machine Cons: none so far
Handset works as mobile speaker phone for handsfree.
Great for those technical support waiting times or
a room chat.
Answering machine is built in and comes with a canned
message already programmed, all you have to do is press
'answer on'. Much easier to setup than any other answering
machine I've had in the past.
Pros: Excellent reception and range.
All features are very useful... nothing is wasted. Cons: Haven't found any in first 6 months.
This is by far the best 2.4 Ghz phone I have ever owned. The reception is crystal clear, and the range is excellent. I really like the feature that turns the handset into a speaker phone. That really makes waiting on hold a lot less painful. Other features that I like are caller ID, voice enhancement, and the ability to be able to pick up phone messages wirelessly using the phone.
It looks like Panasonic really knows what they're doing when it comes to their products. I give this phone my highest recommendation.
