I was looking for a TV to replace my old one. I came across this TV model from a local circuit city store. The TV has a big screen. Even though it's a tubed TV, its screen looks very flat.

This Apex TV is great - It looks like a Sony and has most of the basic features. Great for College - I watch movies everyday - I have it plugged to my VCR and DVD player and it works perfectly - I am glad I bought a 27inch instead of a better brand with a smaller screen!

Never given me a single problem in all of the 3 years that I have had it. however If you are crazy about big brands then I guess you wont be happy with a APEX! but trust me it works great!

This TV was a very good set. My English Mastif knocked it over and it broke. But I got a new one. The new one is a very good set too. It's amazing how much the new one resembles the onld one. I think they are excactly the same. APEX must have good quality control because the two sets are like EXACTLY the same!

Setup was an ease. The manual a little difficult to understand, but we worked our way through it. Picture quality is excellent we love the flat screen, the sound is top notch also. would recommend to anyone that wants a good value.

I was very impressed with the television that I bought. The picture and sound quality were just what I had hoped for. While the Television is packed with extra features, the on screen display's are a little tricky to get the knack of. And the s-video connection is not as simple as the maker of the television/component commpanys would have you believe. However all problems aside this television is a great value and I would recommend it to anyone who is just getting into flat screen tv's. It has all the punch without draining your wallet.

I have an old 27 inch Sony that needs a new picture tube.
The t.v. gave me 10 good years of service. I was told it would cost $200 to fix it. Last Christmas season(2002), I
noticed an ad at Circuit City for the Apex for under $200.
Since I'm not teaching anymore, I suggested to my children what a great gift it would be! I pointed out how I had paid $699 for the Sony and thought the Apex would be an exceptional bargain. The t.v. isn't a stereo one...but with
my digital cable service, you'd never know it. It has front and rear inputs for your camcorder,vcr,dvd player and external stereo speakers. It also has closed captioning and
on-screen programing. It's a great t.v. for the price! I have one little complaint...when there's a news trailer on the bottom of the screen, some of the words are cut off because the program area fills 98% instead of 95% of the screen. I give it a 9 on a scale of 1-10.

I purchased this TV because I wanted a reletively large TV brand new, but didn't have much money. From far away it looks like a great TV, but looking closer you can see that the buttons are extremely cheap and feel as if they are going to break when used. the remote can't turn on the tv, you have to first turn it on and then the remote will work. However, I am satistfied with the picture quality and the sound (even if it is mono). There are plenty of input jacks as well, including svideo. Even though it is on the cheap side, you get what you pay for and it is recommended for the price.

I had expected the flat screen to be a great asset to the family. However, when we first plugged it in, the picture showed in black and white. After about 45 minutes of messing with it, we finally fixed the problem. I have never had this problem with a television before. Other than that, it is a great television and certainly a bargain for the money.

Cons: Failed @ 6.5 months.

Great price, 140$ at Walmart last Christmas. But mine failed at 6.5 months. I will spend the extra 35% and go with a name brand for replacement. Phillips has a better unit with more features & headphone kack at 220$ regular price at Best Buy.
