Pros: Playback works fine, including MP3 discs
Cons: Buggy interface, frequent lockups when recording, supports only DVD+R discs for recording
Summary: This player is plagued by several major problems. A firmware update would probably be able to cure most of them, but there's no indication that Apex is going to release one. At the time of its release this unit was cheaper than comparable models, but ... read more

Cons: Feels cheap, only works with the less compatible "+" format, uncertain future re company
Summary: While the Apex DRX-9200 is a better-quality product than its predecessor (which has been discontinued), it still feels low-quality when compared to Panasonic DVD recorders. It also does *not* work with DVD-R or DVD-RW, but only the "plus" format. I think ... read more
