For most of us, the 15" PB is just right

by lawman67 lawman67 is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Computer Hardware, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Mar 07 '04
Pros: Stunning widescreen video, thin and light enough to travel
Cons: A bit expensive and still a bit large for the truly mobile
This marks my third review of an Apple PowerBook, and is for the middle 15” (actually 15.2”) model. Previously I reviewed the 12” aluminum and 17” aluminum PowerBooks, and in both cases hinted that those are, in fact, niche products. The 12” is a ...

Sublime Mobile Computing

by utchemmajor , Jan 13 '05
Pros: Beautiful, small, well-designed, amazing keyboard, best OS currently available
Cons: Could use more DVD options, one button mouse, minor details
After ogling the macs in the mac lab on my campus and campus computer store, I finally made the jump and got a 15'' Powerbook G4 and I don't think that it could possibly make me any happier. This has been one of the most joyous experiences I have ever ...

Absolutely Awesome (15" Aluminum PB)

by Chess613 , Jun 18 '04
Pros: Wide Screen, lightweight, fast processor speed, ergonomically correct
Cons: Battery life, no IrDA, minor problems with latch
I bought this laptop as a birthday gift for me this week when I saw it on the Hot Deals section in Apple - it's a refurbished 15" Aluminum Powerbook. My trusty Pismo was stolen in a house break-in and I had to have a laptop - and with me, I have to have ...

Pleasure To Use

by sherryleeb , Jun 07 '05
Pros: I personally like the new track pad with scrolling capability.
Cons: Yesterday my powerbook shut down for no apparent reason.
I personally like the new track pad with scrolling capability. It seems feather sensitive. It's like a fine tuned musical instrument rather than a keyboard. My fingers don't hurt to use this keyboard. It requires little effort. Your fingers just glide ...

Warping with Apple PB G4

by kdkurtsz , Mar 22 '06
Pros: Love the operating system
Cons: Case warping!!
I bought my Powerbook Aug. '05. I am overall happy with its performance, although I have one major problem. Severe warping where my hand rests above the CD drive. I noticed this happening about the first month or so after purchasing. When I shut the case ...

Awsome laptop, worth the money.

by jabel45 , Jun 25 '08
Pros: Beautiful, durable, powerful, value.
Cons: Some of the power adaptors have a tendency to fail. Price.
I need computers that are able to multi-task well. I often have several applications running at once and I also do photo editing. While Macintosh computer traditionally carry a heavy price tag, they are well worth the money and this Powerbook is no ...

As Goldilocks would say, the PowerBook G4 15-inch is "Just Right!"

by dhgolfman224 , Mar 22 '04
Pros: Everything...looks, speed, power is in the name, only 1.1" thin, widescreen display!
Cons: Nothing really...gets a little warm, but not uncomfortable like some say. Battery life is tolerable.
The Apple PowerBook G4 not a computer for anyone, if you are looking for a great value, get an iBook G4! However, if you are a power user like myself get the PowerBook G4 15-inch. The fit and finish is amazing and all the "bugs" have been worked out. ...
