  • Don't Even Go There!

    Jan 30, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Looks nice, Compact, Under Counter
Cons: No Service! No Parts!! No Good!!!

Summary: When I bought this Asko dryer (and washer W600), I chose it over the Maytag Neptune because of it's sophisticated Euro look, under counter size and claims of good performance. Also, it was a bit less expensive but not much. These machines do ok on ... read more

  • Don't Even Think About This Dryer

    Mar 4, 2009 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Fits under the counter, motor has lasted 9 years.
Cons: Belt and fuse replacements, difficult to service.

Summary: Not only does it not dry the clothes very well, but it's incredibly difficult to do any common repair.  Belts and fuses fail quite regularly and replacement is very difficult.  Who designed the fuse holder anyway? It also requires at ... read more

Summary: We have had our Asko T700 for three years...we bought it to go under the counter in our new house...its looks, claimed energy/water savings and features convince my wife she needed one. It is now undergoing its fourth repair. So far, it has totally ... read more

    Pros: hummm ..
Cons: expensive, doesn't last, corp doesn't stand behind product, service poor

Summary: I'm not kidding. Might as well take your $700 or whatever it is an Asko Dryer now costs and flush it. I temporarily lost my mind back in December when I couldn't find a single soul within 3 hours of my house in the heart of the San Francisco Bay area ... read more

  • ASKO T700 over heating problem solved

    Jul 4, 2007 by
    Rated Show
Pros: Purchased unit because of its under-counter design.
    Cons: Not reliable as hoped.

Summary: our ASKO T700 dryer would randomly overheat. I ultimately found the problem to be a randomly sticking heating element control relay R2. I isolated the problem by first operating the unit in both the normal and low heat modes. The problem occurred in ... read more

    Pros: Clothes Dry Fairly Quickly
Cons: Overheats frequently, clothes smell burned

Summary: Our ASKO dryer worked well for about the first four years but after that it has been a financial drain and full of problems. In the last year we have replaced the motor, had the unit revented, replaced the lint screen and the belts. I am not sure what is ... read more

Pros: Energy savings, multiple programs, space savings, reliability, simple design (esthetics), quiet (relatively), stackable.
Cons: Capacity, belt replacement in 5 years.

Summary: Both Asko T700 and W620 dryer and washer have served us extremely well for the last 5 years, with only one belt replacement on the dryer needed. No other problems to report and they've worked as advertised. Wife just cleaned the washer's liquid ... read more

    Pros: None
Cons: Design is flawed. Corporation does not support product.

Summary: Do Not for any reason buy an Asko Washer or dryer. The dryer design is faulty. It loads up with lint and sounds like a jet plane after little use, no matter the venting or cleaning of the filter. The corporate office is polite but will not admit there is ... read more
