Pros: * Features! DVD/CD player, speakerphone, LCD display!
* Attractive styling Cons: * Somewhat pricey
* Adequate - not stellar - sound quality
I recently decided that I wanted a television for my kitchen. Like most people, counter space is a premium so I knew that I would need one of those "space saver" style televisions. After shopping around, I decided that I didn't like how most ...

Audiovox VE1020 undercabinet TV/DVD
by miriamgp ,May 13 '07
Pros: Good fit for an under the counter flip down model. Cons: The product is not worth purchasing knowning it would not last atleast 2 years.
I found that this small under the counter TV was a great fit. Then, close to 2yrs after installation the DVD stopped working. Now, a few months later and 2 years after purchase I no longer have a picture. The customer service and warranty with this product do not mean anything.

Get extended warranty
by msandersaocc ,Mar 04 '05
Pros: None Cons: Not reliable. TV screen disappears.
We have had TV for 7 months. Played a DVD for the first time. DVD no longer works and we can't get disc out. Called Audiovox, they want $135 to fix. We paid $700 for a TV that didn't even last a yr. The TV screen disappears, too. This is too much money and Audiovox could care less.
It doesn't matter what I like about this product, it's not affordable or reliable. I will never buy another of their products.

Piece of Junk
by peregrip ,Apr 20 '06
Pros: Great idea, great when it works. Cons: Poorly made, company does not stand behind the product.
I purchased this for Christmas and installed it early in January. March 14 the DVD drive stopped working. Called Audiovox and was basically told "tough luck, it's your problem." Customer service at Audoivox was not only unhelpful and dismissive, I felt they were actually insulting, even abusive. Don't by this product.

A LEMON
by thevideomaster ,Feb 17 '05
Pros: Great concept Cons: NOT RELIABLE
We decided to replace our wonderful 9-inch SONY KV-9PT20 that we have had on our kitchen counter since 1994, with something that would be out of the way and give us more counter space. We purchased an Audiovox VE1020 in July of 2004 and have nothing but trouble since. The DVD section went at TWO months and the unit was sent back to the factory for repair. In January the MUTE button on the remote control became sporadic. On February 15th the picture went black. I contacted Audiovox and they informed me that, since it is out of warranty, it would cost me $135.00 plus shipping to have it repaired. A SEVEN-month life span is ridiculous. I will have it fixed, sell it, and NEVER purchase or recommend anything from Audiovox again. Our SONY is back on the counter working as great as ever.

Love my Audiovox drop-down LCD TV
by stel2020 ,Sep 07 '06
Pros: Screen swivels 180 & flips out of the way when necessary. Cons: Can understand how short might occur if screen flipped up too much or hard.
I absolutely love my VE1020 drop-down LCD TV by Audiovox. I had come across the previous model they had put out, on the internet. From the customer reviews, I gathered folks were having problems with it. But I waited a couple of months for this newer model, which I've now had for about 2 years, and have never had anything but good luck with all its features. It's in my kitchen and therefore takes a bit of abuse. It's still working as well as the day I installed it. The appx. 10 inch screen is just the right size to see from anywhere in the kitchen. I watch DVD movies on it, listen to CDs also. It has so many features that I've yet to explore them all. Don't know if the hands-free phone is any good as I haven't hooked that up. I wish Audiovox promoted it more because it was difficult to track down to purchase and still is.

Audiovox 10" under-counter flat panel
by larryvaughn ,Aug 21 '04
Pros: Size, picture. Cons: Sound quality, inability to rotate a full turn.
I found it easy to install, and it has worked well for more than a year. Gets rave reviews from everyone who sees it. We only use the TV part, so I can't comment on its other functions. The TV picture is great and the thinness when it's folded up makes it very convenient. It does not rotate all the way around, so you have to be careful with installation angle, but it has worked out well for us.
