Pros: Thin and lightweight, very easy to carry and use on the go. Good specs. Inexpensive! Cons: Runs hot, short battery life, poor video card, build quality a bit below competitors.
Introduction A tech-savvy (if I may say so) college student majoring in Computer Science, I built a powerful PC for myself to use in college. Its been great and it does everything I need it to. Well, provided that what I need it to do ...
Pros: affordable, portable, good sized hard drive, good amount of memory. Cons: poor design lid key marks on screen. Wireless connection issues. Freeze ups.
I have a "refurbished" 3200 with a 3 year warranty. I have had this notebook several months and it is working but I have had some problems. The lid has 2 hinges on the left and one on the right. This leaves no support in the center, and when the ...
Pros: lightweight, small Cons: runs hot, no microphone, crappy speakers, temperamental wireless and touchpad
I bought this computer against the advice of my significant other, because of the processor. He has a centrino processor that doesnt get hot. I got rid of my previous laptop (DELL) because it burned my thighs when I used it, especially when the fan got ...
Pros: built in wireless, compact, 3 usb ports Cons: No Support, tech support is seen as a profit center not service
I bought this notebook 18 months ago with high hopes. 40gig hd, builtin wireless 2ghz AMD processor, and upgraded the ram from 256 to 1 gig....then the problems begin The screen is not protected from they keyboard, and combined with slop in the ...
Pros: compact, lightweight, lots of gadgets for the price Cons: A major fire/burn risk, a waste of money, lousy customer service and warrantee.
DON'T BUY THIS LAPTOP UNLESS YOU HAVE RENTER'S OR HOME OWNERS INSURANCE! This is a definite fire hazard.
We had the laptop less than 6 months when it started to overheat and shut down. So I purchased a 3 fan tornado to send cold air through it. The Tornado plugged into the laptop. The laptop overheated and burned out the Tornado! And it was NEW! You can't even do simple things like typing documents without it overheating and shutting off. The longest I've had it run without shutting off is 20 minutes and that was while having someone holding a small fan under it while it sat on a vented surface.
Customer service and the warrantee are a joke. They had us pay to ship in for repairs. It was back one day when it did the same thing. They said ship it again. We will ship it again, but we don't want it back! They can keep it.
Even the power cord gets excessively hot, so don't have it on carpet.

Pros: Good price, light weight. Cons: Poor screen quality, not built tough enough.
I purchased two of these laptops. One for me and another for a good friend. After just 4 months of use, my friends stopped booting. Just sent it today for factory service. Mine is working ok, but makes clicking noises when it is idle. All, in all they are "ok". However, the screen resolution is not nice. My roommate has an HP laptop and his resolution is many many times more clear.
The price was good. But, if I have to do over again I would make a different choice.
Pros: fast, compact, inexpensive. Cons: CPU fan woes.
This notebook packs a punch for the price and size. Big problem though, I bought one and within 24 hours the CPU fan went out, so I went and exchanged it at the same place. Yesterday, a month later, the CPU fan went out again. I just exchanged it a 3rd time, this time from a different location hoping that there was just one batch with bad fans. Guess we'll see.
So far, I am very impressed with the functionality of this machine, especially for the money. I'm really hoping this 3rd unit works. If not, I'll be writing a much harsher epinion about it!
Pros: It's marginally better than throwing your money to the garbage can. Cons: Everything else.
I had this laptop for a year. It heats up so much I need to use put books on the sides to leave an open space under it. The battery lasts about 1 minute by now. It lasted only half an hour when it was new. It's extremely slow. It's so loud I can not use it in public places. Next time I am buying an Apple.
