Pros: Cheap, good sensitivity, good city mode, voice alerts, self test mode could be skipped Cons: small letters for the different bands, voice not too clear
This is my first radar detector, so I really have very little to compare it to. I've had it for about 4 months now though so I feel I could better evaluate its performance. I didn't want to write a revue too soon, because I felt like there is no need of ...
From Beltronics, the Bel Express 920 is the 2nd best of the Express model line. This is one of the two Express models that I purchased then later returned to Circuit City. After doing intial tests with the Bel Express 930, I decided to save time ...
Pros: Reasonable price, good features. Minimal falsing in town. Cons: Flimsy bracket.
I recently was preparing for a 1500 mile trip and wanted a radar detector as a co-pilot. After reading some online reviews, I settled on the BEL Express 920. During my trip, the BEL worked well and saved me from at least one ticket, so I think it has ...
Pros: Sleek look. Cons: No volume control, very loud, expensive, mounting bracket complicated, no instructions.
I purchased this at Circuit City for $129 today, and returned it - today. The reviews on circuit city's site were mostly positive, and the reviews on this site were about the same. I decided to splurge and get this. First, the unit came with NO ...
Works good but difficult to operate. by bbealmba ,Jan 05 '04
Pros: Nice mounting bracket. Good sensitivity. Cons: Volume hard to operate. Hard to read display.
Works fine, easy to setup, nice metal mounting bracket, but their are only four buttons on the whole thing and no volume control. Volume is very difficult to adjust and the default setting is deafening. You cant just turn volume up and down. Also, the single digit display takes longer to look at to read than the nicer LED displays like on the Escorts. All in all an ok value for the money but I suggest just ponying up the 200 bucks for the Escort.
